Loving this thread now we are are so close to the start of the marathon, great stuff for those posting sides and those providing feedback.
My turn to put my thoughts out there... with the unknowns in the rookies i much prefer a side that has guys that aren't as sexy on paper but will score week in week out, and maximise the number of prems on field and minimise the trades needed to go full prem.
Maybe gone too far in the rucks tho..... really coming down to an x vs y now of say Hunter/macrae vs grundy/102k rook, or similar. But like this side whichever way the x/y settles.
Im playing for overall and think those starting with only 12 prems with Grawndy and Neale and lloyd (and going for overall) might struggle to complete their sides, different if league is your aim. Just my 2c and that's what makes this game so fun. I strongly feel your trading strategy after the end of round 1 is more important than who you started, or didn't start, as no one will nail every pick. I didn't start grawndy or lloyd last year and did ok, prepared to go this route again as i think the rucks are potentiality the best rookies this year.
My out plan if the rucks really go pear shaped is ditch a prem somewhere and bring in Marshall when he's back early, or start the "Super early 2022 strategy" thread lol.
Another risk is Kelly, injury always a worry, so it's either him or fyfe, or could be mitchell or even adams, lol all injury risks after the previous spiel.
Really think the interchange rule will suit gaff, not expecting a breakout (he's past that age wise), but every game at 104-108 means no headaches and forms part of a great mid base. Cripps for potential worth the risk as well.
Maximise every dollar, and hopefully that means I've got 14 solid prems, (inc 2 breakouts bolton, duggan) and daniher/ziebs. Doc and dunkley are the ones im least sold on, and without llllllloyd I've really locked in all 6 Defs, either genius or stupidity, time will tell.
Feedback appreciated!
