I have been hearing that a bit. I personally like the Butters selection, if you do as well, go for it!
Its werid hearing about Butters like that, he did well last year didnt he?
Ive recently been thinking Phillips is more of a trap
Also i know this wasnt the exact topic of the convo but i feel like some more light needs to be shone on this potential 400k TRAP problem

I don’t mind it tbh. And it’s something along the lines of what I’m looking at as my 3rd alternative depending how the rookies fall.

Here’s a few changes I’d make:

- Cox to Murray (if he plays) or A. Fyfe as a donut, Highmore onfield
- Downie I don’t think plays, maybe the sub
- Brockman and Jordons JS is little to none come about Round 2 with the return of Wingard and Viney
- McNeil potentially similar to the above, keen to see who misses out on the Dogs side before going him
- Briggs to a Harry Jones or Warner

Here's my 100% locked in final team (not locked in at all). I don't like it very much really.

Dropping Grundy still leaves me scrambling to get to 12-13 keepers. As much as I want to pick Bailey, it's a big risk. I don't want Taranto and he's simply a case of needing something to do with an extra 200k. I'm no long sold on Cripps and Walsh. Picking the right defenders other than Laird feels deceptively simple, surely someone's going to miss out even if this scoring bump eventuates. Lachie Young is a bit of a nothing pick and partly me hoping another viable rookie defender pops up now or in the first few weeks (assuming Highmore even plays of course). Arrgh, so frustrating!

Now when you mention Bailey my ears prick up 😀

No Campbell is interesting , thought he was the must have rookie outside of the rookie rucks

I dumped him so I could afford Taranto in that draft, I'd probably be better off losing Daniher instead.

I'd better get McCluggage and Rich in too.

If you don't have Campbell and you don't like Taranto, Cripps and Walsh, then: Taranto > Campbell and 264k. You then have 276k to fix Walsh and Cripps. Since you have Neale already, you can get any 2 mids you like

As always your Hawks intel is so valuable. Was leaning towards leaving Brockman out due to Wingard... you just gave me the push I needed.
Any thoughts on Titch? I would love to have him as a potentially underpriced POD, but there is always the risk of re-injuring the shoulder or taking time to build his fitness levels.

Yeah I did the same a few days ago with Brockman, and Downie will go tomorrow once we get word of the Hawks side. From what I'm hearing at this stage it sounds like he's unlikely, however with the sub being introduced today he could unfortunately be a candidate for that role.

Titch I'd love to start, and I'd be lying if I hadn't been seriously considering him the last two days.
I think I will resist the temptation for a few rounds, to get a look at him and maybe a small discount before jumping on.
This time a month ago I was getting word that he was very unlikely for round one, so there is probably enough doubt around match fitness based off playing in only on match sim last weekend before round one. Having said all of that, he just gets the job done and can play through injury (like the shoulder which he injured at one of his first contests round one last year against the Lions), and you could do worse than just backing the pig in from the get go.

Cheers. It's looking like either Titch or Fyfe for my M4 spot and I'm not liking the talk around Fyfe playing more forward, so I might just take the punt on Titch and hope his body holds together (surely that's more likely than Fyfe's body holding up anyway)
