@randomcliche i was hoping to avoid the public humiliation, was totally in it until last week. I did not see that disaster coming at all, been bashing my head against the wall all week.

Tex sent me a random draw of numbers earlier tonight and I was going to leave a disclaimer that he had drawn them, not me, so I wasn't biased. Then I thought "I'll hold off on that in case he's drawn me against Ironhawk or something." Lo and behold...

Well, you could have gone with the rough draw I mentioned I had put together at lunch time in the PM I sent earlier. You weren't up against me in that one. 
I still think it works better splitting the draw in two after each round, where anyone who placed in the top half for that round will come up against someone in the bottom half at random and vice versa, as this rewards good performance. If you have been in any of the RDT eliminators, this is how they run them. See below for an example from their EPL comp:
As you can see, the two highest scorers in Week 29 were then placed so that they match up with one of the two lowest scorers from the round in Week 30, and not each other. You can see from week 29 the same thing happened based on rankings of scores from week 28 (not shown).
A completely random draw like this one is fine too, but possibly not quite as rewarding for doing well. For example, this draw has the 5th highest scorer from the first rounds Vicwood facing the 9th highest in Connoisseur. One of those two will be a bit unlucky to cop such a tough opponent after having a very good first set of matches. Compare that to Rowsus v Markl (32nd v 29th of those to progress) - two of the lower scoring teams, with one now guaranteed to progress. 100% luck of the draw and gives everyone an equal chance of winning, so can't complain - I'm happy to go with Tex's match ups, it's his comp after all!
All the best Mike, I'm well overdue for my traditional fall down the rankings after a good start (see literally every other fantasy comp I have started well in for an example of where this happens), so you are still in with a very good chance of making the third round!

The only q is - the further into the comp would we use 1. Overall score/ranking OR 2. previous 3 round score/ranking
In my mind 1. Would make more sense (to reward those with a higher overall)
