Agreed. At least in the top 3 or 4 for form, for quite a while now.
Wright was world champion 25 months ago, but he's 54 now and with the form he's in its honestly hard to see him turning it around. Others are going one way and he's going the other.

I know you shouldn't write a "champion" off (if he is that), but he's a shadow of the player he was.

Bit of a sad state of affairs really. He wouldn't want to give up his spot because of the competitive drive he would have, but imo its his final PL season.

PDC should have recognised form and played Dobey imo. How long has he been avg 100 for?
But who wants to see a Geordie when you can see a senior with a mohican in bright colours dancing around? ;)

Glorified exhibition series in which its mere existence is to compensate for their loss making activities and thus no real qualification criteria is set, given those selected are usually the most marketable or those that will appeal most to the casual fans (if we can call them that).
