Moved up in gram size from 12 to 18 this year.

The St Helens star became synonymous for using a 12g barrel – the lightest in the professional game – but having recently switched to an 18g barrel, he is now reaping the rewards.

“I’ve had the 18-gram darts since last July,” revealed Bunting, a winner of two PDC ranking titles.

“I literally got them out of the cupboard [recently], started playing with them and hit two nine-darters!

“I then missed double 12 for a third nine-darter of the day and I thought: ‘These are the darts for me’.

“When you throw a 12-gram dart, you feel every slight movement in a dart, so going up six grams may seem a lot, but I think I’m still the lightest on the tour.
Fantastic to see Stephen with a televised title. The Ross Smith opener and losing the winner bonus by jumping on late scared me off. 12 gram darts will be long gone now. :ROFLMAO:
