As it was announced earlier in the week, and teams obviously planned around this, we will follow the stated timeline.

Friday: 8 - 9+ Complete top 60
Determine the structure of your contracts.
Saturday: 12 - 3pm (proposed)
2017, 2018 and 2019 Draft Classes
Determine the structure of your 2017 contracts
Sunday: TBD Rounds 19 - 28 (100 players x 1; 2 hours)
That will leave Rounds 29 - 38 and 39 - 54 to complete.

I would like complete the draft by Wednesday night. This will allow teams to take stock and allow a week to do any trades.
Will be available for the proposed time for Saturday .... way before my normal wake up time but alarm lock has been set !! .. yep I'm a night owl ...

Good morning gents - sorry if this is a dumb question, but to what extent is a player not picked up by any of us still in play after round 2?

Say one of us needs another ruckman or a rookie unexpectedly debuts, are those players available to us? And how does this work?

Just trying to understand what my options are for any remedial work required

If a player is not on any list after the draft is completed then they are not available until the following preseason signing and drafting period. The same as the AFL up until last season where there was a mid year draft.

Note for Sunday, the wife has just informed me that we are going out for dinner with friends on Sunday night that she locked in 2 weeks ago (despite telling me earlier this week we had no plans this weekend  !) so I won't be able to do late evening tomorrow.

I was thinking Sunday that we do a NOON start and complete Rounds 19 - 28. Should take 90 minutes.

For the later rounds, couldn’t we just have the spreadsheet going so people can make selections on their phone via say Google Sheets app?

No bidding so people can just make selections when they are available (or I have I got this wrong).

We’ve done that before in our other Keeper league. It works ok for punching through some extra picks when there’s a time squeeze, but don’t think we can rely on doing the full draft this way

Maybe we can try coordinate a good time after today's drafting. Are we still on from 12pm?
That is potentially possible. Although we do need to allow sufficient time to finalise salary’s before the next phase. Also people may require time to further prep for phase 5.

Yeah obviously best if we can do it with everyone on at the same time. Perhaps we try churning it out each weeknight again!
