A Witherden with the big fish on debut (= 170) which all Creme de la Creme players should strive to achieve when they first pull on the illustrious guernsey.

A testament to the depth of my playing list as they could possibly score 2000+ (currently 1198 from 11) without 4 walk up starters in G Ablett, M Walters, T Doedee and J McGovern.
Hoping my own troubled recruit in Blakely can follow suit hah

Awaiting confirmation from the Crows, but I am in a generous mood and likely to issue a spot to my 35th debutant this season K Strachan replacing T McCartin as the fwd emergency to replace M Walters.
Done.

Good luck to my only ruck eligible player in 2020 (that has played at least 1 game) that will be below 30 years of age come 31/12/2020.

2 more debutants since the above.
A Witherden and M Ling debuting takes the total to 34 this season.

Ideal def if all available or in form
Def: T Stewart, S Edwards, J McGovern, T Doedee, H Young and A Witherden

RD9: T Stewart, H Shaw, K Simpson, M Hibberd A Witherden and M Ling

Relieved that I have somehow managed to avoid a def donut.
Triumphant return by the backline general of Creme de la Creme, T Stewart.

Who needs T Doedee, J McGovern and H Young anyway.

All that is missing is for H Shaw to wind back the clock to RD9 2016.

Between Utimate and our other Keeper league this Freo/Collingwood game is hell to watch for me. I’ve got Sidebottom in the Keeper league, but my opponent Tails has him here. And I’ve got Elliott and Phillips here, but my Keepers opponent has both there! Both games are close and I don’t know who to barrack for lol

With the trade deadline looming Goodie's Giants FC have bolstered their defense as they position themselves for a late run at this year's finals. The Giants have acquired key defender Steven May from Jabukanji Stingers for untried rookie Ely Smith and a swap of 2021 draft picks.

The Jabukanji Stingers are pleased to announce the arrival of Pick No. 21 at the 2018 NAB AFL Draft, Ely Smith through a trade with Goodie's Giants FC, with Steven May departing.

Smith was a late call-up to the National AFL Draft night, and the rumours that Brisbane invited him were true with the Lions selecting him in the first round. Smith has enjoyed a terrific season for the Murray Bushrangers, going from virtually unknown in draft calculations, to a first round pick. He famously missed out on Vic Country selection, then received a late call-up there too, to show off at GMHBA Stadium in the final game.

What Smith brings to the table is his terrific hands and vision in close, often winning the ball at the coalface and dishing off to a teammate on the outside with a no-fuss approach to his football. He is ready to go if required, and is a good size as that prototype midfielder.

As the trade deadline looms the Stingers will continue to look for opportunities to improve draft position and bring in young players. Defenders Jake Lever and Aliir Aliir will garner interest, whilst experienced midfielder Ed Curnow could bolster finals bound teams.

Goodie's Giants FC and Jabukanji Stingers have made a further trade with experienced midfielder Ed Curnow transferring to the Giants in exchange for 2018 rookie midfield bull Tom Sparrow, who will now look to break into the Stingers team either up forward or his long term goal of the midfield. Mid round 2021 draft picks were also exchanged.

J McGovern:

Played 85 of 88 games between 2016 and 2019

As a member of Creme de la Creme he has played 4 of a possible 9 games.

Not very impressed considering he was selected for consistently playing 20+ at 85+ and likely to fly under the radar evident by his draft position.

M Hibberd or M Ling to replace him this week and very thankful to be welcoming back T Doedee.

Goodie's Giants FC - Media Release

There's been some big news coming out of Goodman Football Group HQ today, as Goodie's Giants FC have completed two blockbuster trades with the Jabukanji Stingers in the hope of playing SCSUL finals football. In two seperate deals The Giants obtained inform key defender Steven May and workhorse midfielder Ed Curnow, both signing one year deals with the club. Youngsters Ely Smith and Tom Sparrow depart to the youthful Stingers, where they'll look to establish themselves under the watchful eye of coach Ken Lockhart.

Shortly after the deals were finalised coach Tim Goodman had the following to say to Giants Media.

"We are he was pleased to make two quality additions to our squad prior to the upcoming trade deadline. Both Steven and Ed are experienced campaigners who will bring a lot to our club both on and off field."

"With Jamie MacMillan heading home for the birth of his kid we felt it was imperative that we added another experienced head back there."

"We've lacked midfield depth all year with Luke Dunstan going down early, so to get Ed into our engine room will free up Bailey Smith or James Rowbottom to drift back forward."

"I'd like to wish both Ely and Tom all the best. We believe they both have big futures ahead of them and it's a shame to see them move on"

In team news, Goodman revealed that Nick Vlastuin would return to the side this week after missing the game against the Dagobah Immortals with a calf complaint. Youngster Will Hamill is expected to be omitted following his debut for the club last weekend, opening the door for Steven May, whilst Goodman was tight lipped on who would play as the second ruck behind skipper Brodie Grundy, with Tom Bellchambers, Sam Draper and Darcy Cameron all vying for the role.

Got an itchy finger .... think I'm all set up for next years initial intended plans but ....

- predominantly after a M/F, R or R/F player ... and/or
- a boost into the top 4 of the 2021 / 22 PS draft ... the latter my main interest

I am currently carrying an "extra" player so a 2 for 1 deal aint off the table ...

I also generally "check" in with an hour'ish to spare before each game starts in the current climate ....

Edit: To me any fair deals can be executed in a matter of minutes ..
