The Festival of Fantasy for SCS Ultimate League kicks off at the beginning of AFL Round 11. Teams will play three games an Ultimate round over three Ultimate rounds leading into the inaugural SCS Ultimate League Final Series.

The Festival of Fantasy will see teams at the full strength as the trade deadline coincides with the beginning of the Port Adelaide v Richmond game at 4:35pm Saturday. What moves will teams make as they press their claims for the inaugural SCS Ulitmate League Premiership? Will teams move potential for output or will they trust the process?

There'll be winners and losers as teams shift wildly from round to round with 36 points on offer across the three rounds. Expect the unexpected, and a white knuckle ride throughout.

This is the Festival of Fantasy!

PLAYER PRICE: CLARIFICATION FOR THE FOLLOWING SEASON

While most player prices will be derived from their end of season average (multiplied by the the magic number of 5500), players who play a minimal number of games due to selection or injury will have a discount applied for pricing purposes. SCS Ultimate League will take their cue from Virtual Sports (SuperCoach) pricing as we do with player positions.

I've added the 2nd Contract Calculator to the Google Teams sheet.

Everyone can enter players, my 2018 draft class is in there at the moment, and change the predicted average to see the possible cost of giving your players a 2nd contract.

Thanks ... had set up something similar and seems to be tracking correctly .... (within ~0 - 10k)

It's in the Excel sheets I shared with everybody before the draft. "2020 Supercoach Ultimate Worksheets"

I just put it in the Google Teams doc so that teams don't have to switch between software and/or are using their phone whilst out and about.

There are some other useful sheets within it. If you've other things to share with the group that would be great, because that was just a beginning.

All good ... have that one bookmarked .... had just set up my own to keep a rough idea of every teams position when looking at potential trades etc ...

- Nothing new in it ... just like to keep my own track of it ...

The round 10, 11, 12 doc is available to select your teams before tomorrow afternoon's game.
  • Team selection rules the same as round 8 and 9.
  • Wins/Losses and percentages will change once the round 9 is completed.
  • Round 9 won't be completed before "The festival of fantasy" begins with rounds 10, 11 and 12.

NB. All trades need to be completed before the commencement of AFL round 11. i.e. Saturday.

TRADE BOMBSHELL

Whilst the expected last day trade frenzy didn't occur there was significant action. A bombshell trade involving Jabunkanji Stingers captain Lachie Whitfield headlined the day.

Looking to the future the Jabukanji Stingers traded captain Lachie Whitfield to the Goodie's Giants FC shocking the Ultimate community. The Giants via multiple trades have rocketed themselves into premiership contention having acquired Whitfield, Steven May and Ed Curnow in recent days.

The Giants gave up the highly rated forward, 2017 pick 12, Darcy Fogarty and competitive small forward, 2018 pick 16, Ned McHenry to obtain Whitfield. They also parted with TailsPower 2021 Pre-Season Round 2 draft pick acquired earlier in the season. Some salary swallowing was also involved in the deal.

The Stingers have restructured their list bringing in highly rated youngsters who they hope will be the foundation of the team for many years. Given their current position on the ladder, they will go into the 2021 Pre-season draft with four selections in the top 21, providing a further injection of young talent.

In the other trade for the day, The Darkness acquired tall forward Billy Frampton from the Giants for their 2021 2nd round and 7th round picks with the Giants round 5 and Stingers round 6 coming back their way.

Teams are now set leading into the Festival of Fantasy and the inaugural finals.
