Realistically though a 105 average is in the "no rush" category. You'd take 105 as almost a top 2 average in Def/Fwds. Particularly for 300k.

Their upgrades would absolutely be your last upgrades and depending how your luck was a 105 wouldnt be out of place as most M8s or M9s.

Theres always this notion that we have 100% control over our planned upgrades (get Goldy at a reduced prices after 5-6 rounds) but realistically its very hard to nail it.

Youd have to pick them with the view that you could take never getting to trade them out if averaging 105. Kind of like Newnes last season. He was never critical enough for most to upgrade and as the injuries stacked up a lot (including me) were stuck with him.

If they got injured or only averaged 90 then you might need to bump them out for a fallen premo sooner than expected.

But having said that 105 average (i think it'll be a bit less) for 300k is rare but amazing if it comes true.

I'm not sure if Rowsus can work his magic and see if anyone has come from 300k to average 105 before?
You've given my post the explanation I should have given it Sven. :) I wasn't suggesting 105 was a trading point, rather a tipping point. And as you say once you get to that tipping point it is hard to pull the trigger. At this 105 tipping point Libba is a poor cash cow while I think the other 2 are borderline. If our cash cow options in the midfield are poor they could be considered. On the other side of the coin it is a big call to say any 3 of them will be top 10 mids after missing a whole season. Even though the winner never ends up with 8 top 10 mids you would like to think you are picking players with the intention of them being a top 10 mid.You don't want to choose someone because you think they will finish 25th.
I think they are well priced to make the decision that little bit harder.

Yes it's been briefly discussed already. There will be at least two of them, one before the season starts while we are all geniuses, and one mid season.

I plan to invite Todd Goldstein to pre season one, bring back some memories for IDIG of the inaugural SCS beerathon ;)

Lycett and Leuenberger linked across lines looks appealing to me.Both have points to prove and should get a lot more opportunity next season.

The cheapest players to achieve 105 average are:
M Barlow 116 in 2010 $111,400 (debut season)
S Martin 112 in 2014 $242,700
B McLean 106 in 2012 $280,800
A Sandilands 108 in 2014 $310,700
A Goldstein 113 in 2011 $320,000
I Maric 113 in 2012 $338,300
Interesting that 4 of the 6 are Rucks!

^ I don't want him to be because I like him as a FB or CHB. Who knows. I wouldn't bother risking him in the ruck. He will be put everywhere. We only have Minson and Campbell, so he might get a go sometime.

He looked good at the start but seemed to have hit a wall
My message got cut short sorry. I didn't mean to be blunt. He is one of those players that will throw up enough good scores that you'll think he's worth keeping, but not enough that he will be.

Another two ruckmen in 2015, M Blicavs 104 at $371,900 and M Gawn 102 at $339,800 were close to the mark as well.

Maybe Luey and/or Lycett  can add their names to that list for 2016.

Nothing seems to be up at this stage. Have the advantage of being Perth...first time I've ever said that!
