If Tom Mitchell ever starts a season at a different club or under a different coach, he is a 110% LOCK!

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh.

He was suppose to be my secret player ;)
Coming into 2015, he was in my pre-season plans. Didn't end up going with him, although it wouldn't have been a horrible pick. Definitely worth a look next season, but it will just be us three that pick him, we'll hope ;)

Just checking but next year there's no sub rule right? I guess that'll encourage more GnR type teams.

Any ideas as to players most likely gaining M/D eligibility?

Matthew Boyd is 100% getting M/D and is 90% lock in my team next season. Although, I would treat carefully with veteran dogs players. We have a few half backs waiting in the background to play. He is averaging 105 right now. 8 game over 100 and 10 games over 90. A 66 against cats were lowest for season. The next lowest is a 81 which is pretty good for what defenders score.

After McGovern this year, I'm reverting to a complete 'no second year players' rule.
Pretty safe approach I reckon. Its much more likely that a 2nd yr player will be disappointing than it is he'll be outstanding. By avoiding them, you may possibly miss that one or two players who turn out to be awesome, but in all likelihood you will be doing yourself a favor by not being sucked into getting a dud investment.

Look at Bont - started awesome and everyone wanted to jump on, but after that he has been up and down and I think most people who have him probably wish that they didn't.

Another example is Dom Tyson. He was brilliant last year and started this year at $506k. I never really seriously considered him, but at one stage it crossed my mind that he could be an exception to the rule and because he was a bit more mature and "not really a 2nd year player'" that he could improve on the previous year and turn out to be a bargain POD. Well, he has played 13 games this year, averaged 78 and is now priced at $421k - bullet dodged :)

It will be Cripps 3rd season
Effectively his second real season, no need SC wise to be too technical about how long they have been on a list. The 'no second year player' SC rule really refers to not selecting players the year after they have a break out first real reason of playing games.

Hate starting 500k+ defenders. M/D does twist the arm a little

No need SC wise to have these rules at all.

Also a year at a football club is often dismissed if games aren't being played. Cripps had injuries last season but even without playing young players are still getting stronger, fitter & smarter.
