With the prominence of streaming services, I assume boxsets wouldn’t be purchased as often but the below available at Sanity are great bargains due to both normally retailing around the $65-$95 range.

Curb Your Enthusiasm (S1-8): $29.99

Batman (1966 to 1968 series): $16.99

Sanity! I reckon it's been a while since I've seen one of their stores ... turns out they still have dozens of them

Roughly 130 stores in Aus still open and total revenue in the most recent financial year of approximately 120 million.

Whilst on the topic of Netflix another recommendation is The Kominsky Method: (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7255502/)

1st season is available, with the 2nd being released on the 25th of October. Created by Chuck Lorre and starring Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin.

Synopsis: The sun isn't setting yet on the once famous Sandy Kominsky and his longtime agent Norman Newlander. Academy Award® Winners Michael Douglas (Kominsky) and Alan Arkin (Newlander) star as two friends tackling life's inevitable curve balls as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty.

@Darkie. Have you seen the most recent episode? 1 of my favourites since the end of S1.
I have, it’s shaping up well for the finale - unfortunately only another four to come!

I’m not sure whether you’re someone who is inclined to check for spoilers/theories on the net (I’m not, but I know someone who is!) but worth flagging that one of the fan theories (re Michael) seemed to be on the money last episode.

Just finished the recently released Season 2 which continued and surpassed it’s fine form from Season 1 and features a great recurring role from Paul Reiser.

@Diabolical

JB Hi Fi have 40% of BBC UK Titles and 20% of Movies and TV Shows until the 10th of November.

Doctor Who seasons at $14.39 including all from S1 to S11 along with the 50th anniversary edition.
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/doctor-who-series-11-2018-dvd
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/doctor-who-the-50th-anniversary-collectors-edition-2014-dvd

Also the Buy 2, Get 1 Free offer is valid for Seasons 1 to 11 thus reducing the price to approximately $10 per season.
Might have to investigate!

Has anyone else watched Money Heist? I've binge watched the couple of series to date over three last weeks; I've absolutely loved it! A tad addictive, lol.

It's a Spanish series (La Casa de Papel) on Netflick which Neflick recut and put English voiceovers on. The basic premise is that we follow a very well organised group of robbers who have planned out heist/hostage takeover of the Royal Mint of Spain over several days. It's very well written with a clever, genius plot as they toy with the police, with lots of flashbacks as they slowly reveal the depth of their planning of the heist. Plenty of chararcter driven drama and lots of tension. It might not be for everyone though as it is a bit unrealistic at times and they stretch the tension out.

Unsure if anyone watches it but, 8 out of 10 of Cats does Countdown on SBS Viceland has now moved from airing older episodes on Tuesday to 8:30 to new episodes every weekday at 7:30. Stars Jimmy Carr, Susie Dent, Rachel Riley, Jon Richardson and Sean Lock and is a comedic variation of the Australian Letters and Numbers series.

Yeah me and the missus have watched this... the dubbing is quite funny, especially the professors voice... good show but shame the second season only goes halfway with the story - now we have to wait!

Jan 2020 is the scheduled release date.

I personally think it should be the final series; from a creative perspective it's hard to see how they can continue onto another series past the next one without it becoming it far fetched story wise. However the show has been one of Netflik's biggest successes, particuluary across Europe and South America so they will probably try to cash in.

Yeah the dubbing is not the best - interestingly I read the other day that Netflik has started to invest more money in trying to make dubbing far more professional and seamless; one area they believe they lead to a massive growth in their business.

Another Netflix recommendation is the documentary series “The Toys that Made Us”, which recently released Season 3 (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7053920/)

Synopsis: The minds behind history's most iconic toy franchises discuss the rise (and sometimes fall) of their billion-dollar creations.

12 episodes, across all 3 seasons, consisting of: Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man, G.I Joe, Star Trek, Lego, Transformers, Hello Kitty, Power Rangers, My Little Pony, Wrestling and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Agreed, this is quite a good one, especially if you were around when the toys came out!

All 30 seasons of the Simpsons have now been released on the newest streaming service Disney Plus which has arrived in Australia today.

Thought the above would provide a great segue for our 10 favourite simpsons episodes.

In no particular order, mine are:
1. You Only Move Twice
Season 8 Episode 2- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701298/?ref_=ttep_ep2

2. Homer’s Enemy
Season 8 Episode 23- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701122/?ref_=ttep_ep23

3. Homer at the Bat
Season 3 Episode 17- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701114/?ref_=ttep_ep17

4. Mr Plow
Season 4 Episode 9- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701184/?ref_=ttep_ep9

5. Marge VS The Monorail
Season 4 Episode 12- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701173/?ref_=ttep_ep12

6. Last Exit to Springfield
Season 4 Episode 17- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701151/?ref_=ttep_ep17

7. Cape Feare
Season 5 Episode 2- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701080/?ref_=ttep_ep2

8. Homer Goes to College
Season 5 Episode 3- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0773645/?ref_=ttep_ep3

9. Rosebud
Season 5 Episode 4- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701202/?ref_=ttep_ep4

10. A Star is Burns
Season 6 Episode 18- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0701045/?ref_=ttep_ep18

Extremely difficult to select my favourite 10 due to the high quality of the series and memeroable episodes throughout the first 8 seasons.
