And yet here I am, gone with Drury over Chesser due to the lower price. Let's hope for an 80 today!
Don't have the time these days to keep up or plans as much: of Humphrey, Sharp, Weddle and Chesser, how do they rank? Already have Drury. I'm wondering with Wardlaw imminent, spending up on Humphrey and/or Weddle might a questionable move.

Fair comment but he’s just a bad game away from being back off the table. I hope he stays, good lad, just think he’s risky. In saying that I don’t know Drury at all, just see him in a weaker team as getting more opportunity, esp after his last game.
I was bringing in Sharp instead of Drury, too. Food for thought over the next 68 minutes ha.

Changing my mind again, still getting Humphrey but going Walsh over Neale. Happy to grab Cameron if he's good to start for next week or wait a little bit on Gawn otherwise.

I think I’m going to go Drury, and hold the other trades. None of Sharp, Chesser etc seem like candidates to score well enough to be a starter or even a loop. Looking ahead, Wardlaw may have to come in and there’s not much space left on field.

I brought in bothe Sharp and Drury this week. But had Humphrey already (gambled on the big score vs WC last week, and had a rare win!!).

So the answer is likely Weddle or Chesser.

Absolute guessing game.

Also. I mean Wardlaw's clearly a rated kid, but at this stage I just want to see him get through without injury. Obviously Tsatas might come into consideration in a month as well. There's a few out there, and how they end up being options is going to be a week to week. I'm just hoping Humphrey is 350+ in 3 weeks for his bye.

Absolute guessing game.
This!

Doubling down on H Sharp after trading for him a few season ago in a keeper league and has now found a way onfield this round. Likely to be benched in classic unless Simpson posts a poor score not to be banked as an emergency.

No confidence in either selection and expect another dud to join the bench of Constable, Cincotta, Madden, Sturt and Johnson with Weddle currently all by his lonesome.

Sharp and Oliver for Hopper and Chandler is how I wound up going.

Liked the looks of Sharp from the first time I saw him in a praccy match a couple of years back. The boy can play. The knock on him then was his studies and the fact that he was a twig. Fast forward a couple of years and I think that on strength and ability, he should be right to get games. I don't hugely care if those games are this month.

5 upgrades have to happen not counting Richards. Only Dawson, Stewart and maybe Walsh of the 600k+ players to get and only really Dawson seems mandatory. (Butters too maybe but that boat's been missed. Well done to all holders.) The other 4 upgrades can all be 500 - 50k types.

2 downgrades of 330k players to a mix of MSD rookies and Wardlaw leaves me around 900k in funds for 5 upgrades. That's 180k per upgrade and I need another 5 (7 in total) rookies averaging around 350k. Atkins, Wilmot, Simpson, Mitchell and Phillips will hopefully get to 330k or more each, with JHF and Ashcroft making up the difference. Problem is that I want to get it all done in the next 3 weeks, hahah. Looks like a round 15 completion for me and I'll just have to eat a donut.

Anyway, happy to have Sharp, Cincotta and Johnson just bubbling away in the background for a month or more. Even JVR if nothing else appeals.

This week:
Ashcroft>Merrett
McKenna>Weddle/Humphrey

Next week:
Roberts/Sturt>Fleeton/Drury/Chesser/Wardlaw

Week after:
Callaghan/Ryan>Gawn

If Wardlaw goes 90+ then I’ll likely go early on him. I’d also grab Humphrey over Weddle this week. Only issue with that is I can’t get up to Gawn as I won’t have the cash.

So ideally I go for the bold options, but we’ll see what happens. Would also be nice if Gawn’s new forward % comes out before I have to make the call. Had 53 ruck contests to Grundy’s 30.
Going Humphrey. Probably going to hold next week now unless Fleeton warrants selection. Then Ryan/Callaghan, Sturt/Roberts, Cincotta (if he’s still out of favour) to Gawn, Wardlaw, Ford.

Alternative is to double downgrade to Sharp, etc with the intention of turning Chandler and Wilmot into Merrett and Neale over the coming rounds.
Likely to double downgrade now with the possible players to receive dual position status in the coming rounds in the hopes of completing the forward line with two of Walsh and Gawn, etc.

Defence should now be complete with Ziebell or Sheezel to occupy the D6 spot. Merrett, Neale and Mills the targets for the final three mid spots but trades and cash gen situation will likely warrant a readjustment.

Can loop at D6 and M8 this round with Mitchell the only other rookie to come.

Will come back to bite me going pre byes as the last two seasons I have purchased the first round back from his bye for a 119 avg in 2021 and 116.5 avg in 2022. No pressure Zach. :ROFLMAO:
Why do I always deviate from the initial plan?

From B Smith and Humphrey, to Humphrey and Sharp, then to no Humphrey.
