Atkins wasn't injured, it was worse than that, he played trash and got subbed out. With Ellis waiting in the wings i reckon atkins will get dropped this week.
As an Atkins owner watched him closely, he just didn’t work hard enough like in the previous few weeks, like he didn’t seem desperate to get the ball, just floated around doing nothing, just didn’t seem interested, it was no surprised to me he was subbed out

Thoughts on Darcy Cameron this week? Ideally you’d want to see a 100+ before trading him in, but I want to stick to my plan.
Round 12: DCam
Round 13: Neale
Round 14: Steele/Lloyd
Round 15: Oliver

The score doesn’t suggest it but he attended 88% of the ruck contests from just 75% TOG, which means he was solo rucking. He’s had 68%, 72% and 59% in games with Cox this season prior to this week. He actually beat Goldy in the HO count which shows he’s improving his ruck work, although it doesn’t look like he had many HTA when you see his SC score. He plays WC this week.

I like it - your reasoning is sound, here are the CBA stats & his Heat Map from the weekend which backs it up :-

I haven't quite subscribed to this thought yet ....

- it might have just been a match up call and after all they won the game in the end ...
- but it was clear fantasy wise that he needs that "Quarter back" role back to thrive ...

I "might" hold him for another week ... these things can happen ...
- the wing role isn't great for the majority of players ... and the magnets may change again next game ..

I've gone with Dawson over Laird now with his suspension. Edit: Back to Laird now with him free to play.
I should be able to finish the last 3 rookies with 3 bench downgrades plus Briggs (if he makes money)

1. Current squad after trades. 2. Round 12 available (19 plus hopefully Cincotta and Simpson.)

2 Blues out, 2 Roos in.

OUT: Cowan, Cincotta
IN: Ford, Wardlaw

If no selection surprises then 19 for the round unless Sicily can get his ban overturned which will make 20.

Not counting guys like Chesser or Constable as part of my available players.
Do you not think Cincotta is a sneaky possiblity to get back in with their injuries this week?

Have you thought ahead to the round 15 bye, Lol
What is this RD15 bye you speak of? ;)

Disregarded byes this season given my poor rookie batch as well as needing to fix plenty of midpricers along the way. No involvement in any cash leagues and not interested in individual performance in leagues, so was hoping to keep as close to the pack as possible before the byes. All bye planned out after 13 rounds featuring byes in the NRL with another 14 to come.

Smart. Love the approach. Might do the same.

Hello from 11582m above Kerman, Iran. The onboard WiFi on planes now is amazing!

I take it that Ford is a must have?
Whats the latest on Ratugolea? Does a Ratugolea to Briggs trade sensible or is Briggs a trap?
I wouldn’t say Briggs is a trap, but have a look at how many byes you’ll be fielding him for. For many coaches it’s fewer than you’d think. DPP would have been handy!

Willingly copping a couple of donuts is an underrated strategy. Especially if they’re rookie donuts. Arguably worth copping at least two to save a trade.

and also game counts over the last two seasons ... pretty obvious who has the primary role and who is the backup ..

The coaches with an R1 and R2 premo duo of Marshall/Witts or Darcy/Witts benefit the most with Briggs. Ruck cover right throughout the byes.

Unfortunate for me as an English/Marshall owner.

I feel like Briggs makes sense if you need to trade a premium ruck out as you can ride him a couple of weeks and then upgrade at a higher price point, but wouldn’t be sideways trading an R3 or breaking my team to get him.

Trades are tight and we’ve seen so much carnage this year - plus current MRO interpretations mean suspensions will continue to be far more likely - so I think it could be an expensive ruck only R3 with shaky JS and a chance you’ll be stuck with him as trades go to other priorities.

Personally I’d only be prioritising an R3 trade for someone guaranteed to be best 22 (injury to the incumbent number one). If they aren’t reliable cover for the run home, steer clear!

I dont think he will be named. I dont think he looks good even in VFL, too raw and young. Hickey has had concerns so has been there to help out, expect with bye, confidence in Hickey grows into R13.

Challenge is I have Teackle at R3 and can get 130-150k depending on who I bring in. if McAndrew is in R13 then will trade, if not can hold or consider Madden. I struggle with Briggs, understand the money making side yet too much money parked on the sidelines it feels without on field scoring.
Making the most money to end up with the best final side possible should be the focus just as much as having points on the ground, dont see any other candidates that could quite easily make 100-150K in 3 weeks, with Teakle there as virtually a straight swap who is essentially dead weight it feels a pretty easy trade to make to me but really comes down to how secure in the side you feel Briggs is (I'm more bullish on him than most as Flynn had a super game in the VFL and still wasn't brought back into the side should get an extended run at it as they seem to want to back him in, earnt his spot with good form and has now played well twice).

Think the Swans either drop McAndrew to play one of their forwards as a second Ruck or even draft a Ruckman in the MSD, either way think his chances of holding his spot is pretty low.
