Trades this week Out: C MacKenzie, D Wilmot. In E Ford, J Ridley.
Tossing up whether to trade out Madden to Briggs for quick cash but afraid Flynn may return next week. Based on what I've read here it's probably a 40% chance to return if he goes well.

Hmmm - is there another premium you could go for other than Macrae?

I generally think that compromising on rookies/premos for byes can go too far, but Macrae seems to have a variable (/suboptimal) role, and that’s before Treloar comes back.

That's probably the wise thing to do. I've gone back to my original plan of grabbing Darcy Cameron to provide a bit of ruck cover as well. I didn't actually realise Macrae got M/F but when i saw he did, figured it was a no brainer (without looking too deeply into him and his role, only his scores),

Goes against my usual 'no dickhead' policy but am bringing in De Goey for Ashcroft this week. Need a Round 13 or 14 player for bye balance and noticed that he only has 3 games outside of Melbourne in the run home. Historical averages show the last 5 years in the 80s but I'm confident that his greater midfield role this season is relatively safe. The only other genuinely viable option is Rowell but he appears relatively dependent on GC winning/being competitive for his strong scores and costs 50k more for the same average to this point.
This has not aged well.

I’m mindful that Clarkson returning (or just reminding Ratten of his gameplan) could have Ziebell back in his previous role pretty soon.
Well it looks a little out there at first glance but to be fair if Ratten continues with the set up he has used the past two games Ziebell could drop considerably in scoring and price going forward. I had marked Sheez as a trade out in rd 13 but now depending on this weekend will consider keeping Sheez and moving Ziebell on. And if it helps your bye scenario it is worth thought.
Thanks, guys, ended up umming and aahing a bit, but decided to move Ziebell on in the end.
Who knows how it will work out long-term, running very low on trades, but it's done now
Cheers again!

Like you I have moved him on because he could lose another 50 or 60k in the next week or two if he pulls 70s or 80s. We have no idea if Clarko comes back and even he does (backs in weeks is the latest, whatever weeks is) he still could keep the same set up as Ratten has been using. Will need to keep Sheez however. Not enough trades to move them both on.
