It’s interesting reading the weekly complaints about Geelong’s injury reporting followed by the news Oliver is having another scan for what was reported as a ‘1-3 week hamstring’. 🤷🏻♂️
Got me wondering what’s more frustrating? A general guide that’s open for interpretation or an arbitrary amount of weeks that ends up being incorrect?
I get why people want specific weeks, but I also get that injuries are so complicated and specific to individuals. Either way, it’s all pretty arbitrary

I think it's more so that the timeline Melbourne originally set out would've been correct had he not been admitted to hospital with an infected blister. Totally destroyed his rehab and fitness process so it made it a bit of a free-flowing situation. Otherwise, he'd probably have played King's birthday without any interruption to his hamstring rehab.
If he hadn't dealt with the infection, he'd more than likely be fit and ready to go tomorrow night.
I could also be wrong, but I feel like Geelong injury news travels slower. I think they only do injury updates on their health hub via video and there's no transcripts so it makes it hard for that news to circulate easily? Their latest "health update" article is over a month old.
Me personally, I'm just not a fan of "short term" because it's too ambiguous. Short term could imply they're back next week, the week after that, or even the week after that. I think you combine those terms with unclear injury updates and I can see what people are talking about.
