Any advice what to do here in terms of trades. I'm totally confused with options.

Playing League so would like to keep Sicily and Oliver. I have 12 trades left and am currently in the top 4 with $136k in the bank.

I am unlikely to win my head to head this week as current projection is 1460 vs 1920. Even using three or four trades, I don't think I could catch him this week, so thinking I should just downgrade and set myself up for the next two to three weeks.

I would like to bring in Dawson and Petracca as my next two upgrades (in the next three weeks)

My thinking is:
This week
Ford to Maric
Wardlaw to Sheldrick

Next Week
Johnson to Fletcher
McKenna to Dawson
Ashcroft to Petracca

Should I look at going Ziebell to Yeo this week or is that a waste of trade in the long term, as I would only look to use Yeo as a stepping stone to Sinclair (Could do Day / Ziebell to Sinclair instead).

Or should I look at trading out Sicily to Dawson this week ?

Thoughts ?

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, are most people who have Sicily, holding or trading him?
I’m holding, wouldn’t think too many have trades and cash to bring him back in by round 18….
For me creates a POD that I need to move up the ranks….Weddle and SMitchell can provide adequate cover in the interim…

Not sure the trade of Wardlaw to Sheldrick is worth it, less than $100k saving….
could do Wardlaw to Maric which nets more cash…
Would move Sicily on to Dawson instead as Ziebell to Yeo a waste of a trade….

My thinking with Sheldrick was cash gen. I know he'll only net $90 this trade but should be up to $250k plus in 2 weeks time where a trade down to $123k will net me another $130k.

What are your thoughts on Sheldrick ?
will Maric hold his place in the team ?
There doesn't seem to be an over supply of on field rookies ATM.

Wardlaw is a tricky one,was on 70 at half time recently.
Plays a contested style so will always be at risk of a few frees but I don't see too many other current rookies who will be right in action regularly.

He’s gone for me. Three weeks is usually sufficient for a premo sideways trade to stack up, but in a tough bye round, and at c. 100k overpriced, I think it is relatively clear cut for those who aren’t tight on trades.

I probably don’t have a specific plan to suggest, but a few thoughts:

- I agree that chasing points doesn’t make sense if you’re going for leagues and well behind this round.

- It looks like you have 4 upgrades to make with 12 trades left, so you may be getting somewhat tight for sideways trades like Sicily out. I have traded Sicily partly because is really him as overpriced, and presumably moving him on helps your chances of winning next round and the followings.

- I think Sheldrick is a pretty good rookie to bring in (especially in a shallow pool) and have done so myself.

- Im slightly concerned that Petracca is now overpriced and his scoring will reduce once Oliver is back. I haven’t dug into this but it seems like a clear risk that I haven’t really seen mentioned. He is durable though, which is handy for late upgrades.

- Maric seems to have good JS, I have brought him in too. He might be a good option to allow you to cash out Ford.

- Wardlaw is one I wouldn’t mind holding in your situation. His JS and role seem decent for a young player, and if he kicks on he could get to a higher price point. He could provide decent cover when Humphrey, Ashcroft etc are used for upgrades in the coming weeks.

- Yeo seems quite risky, and unlikely to make you 150k, which I think is a decent benchmark to aim for from your trades.

Completely agree. Best role of the rookies we’ll see this year. If Maric somehow pulls a respectable score, I’ll hold Wardlaw and Johnson gets the flick.

Harvey Harrison's score might get me the win in my league this week. Anyone else brought him in as a rookie?

Samson Ryan should go first, 12 in his number, he is leaking cash.

Looking at your side and using simple maths, you look to have 8 cashows (6 in mids plus Ryan and Mckenna) excl Melican/Ford (who are lowest price and maybe still going up).

Today, if you downgrade 4 to 123k players, it leaves you having 4 premiums worth 510k. Some of these players are still going up and you may bring in 102k player where donuts or semi donuts (Maric?).

That means you have 4 trades left for finals, maybe you cut one extra rookie, have three trades left and aim for 4 x 600k players.

This means you dont have much spare room to sideways players.

re rookies, not sure on Fletcher, comments from coach were not inspiring. He didn't do much but too a good intercept mark which is a sign of the future!

Maybe Eagles Hewett at 140k. only scored 38 yesterday but has 16 possessions. Eagles will be better at home where confines of SCG are not suffocating to them. SCG has never suited Eagles in the good days, let alone the dark space they are in now.

Wait on Petracca, his price is coming down and want to see how he scores once Oliver is back, will be good for league finals though.

Johnson and Wardlaw would be last to go. Ashcroft, Samson Ryans are the first to go.

Hope that helps. Target Sinclair asap or a Dawson. Ziebell goes up to one of these, Can you do Ziebell to Dawson today.

Mids - Neale Merrett Petracca and Libba are your targets for last 3 mids.
