I would be very cautious in trading Oliver in this week just cause he is named. If Melbourne have the game in control and no injuries, could definitely be a candidate to be subbed off. With a breakeven of 141, if you can wait an extra week I would. I may look to trade Steele to him next week.
Feels obvious Dees manage his load, pretty weak opposition and 6 day break not far away, I just dont think hes worth waiting for ultimately, did consider it.

There are a few very low ownership guys that have the potential to come home strong. I'd have a look at the fixture and see who has a favourable run home that can either keep up a high average or maybe add a few points.

Oliver and Sicily will be ultra PODs you'd imagine, especially at their price and most will have locked that cash into a Petracca type, but you might lose too many points between now and when they are back and firing.
Petracca is the obvious pick i can afford. (trade johnson) I much prefer oliver and sicily. There's so many points between 1 and 99!

That last sentence is why Im fading both, get the points now, especially when the guys are missing a month plus of footy, are at maximum price and are inevitably losing match conditioning.
Yeah makes a lot of sense. I think there is an argument with Sicily coming back strong given it's suspension not injury, but I'm not sure I'd trade in to a guy who'd missed that much footy (he'll miss 5 of 6 given the other suspension and his bye, plus 3 week suspension). I think if he was held it could be different, but it's an interesting one.

That said, Sicily in the last month could be the different in some big ranking climbs!

I think there is a strong justification in fading Trac at this point if you want to try and climb. You risk falling if he flies home, but I just think you can take him on at that price and find benefit elsewhere. You need a POD in some position to make an improvement, so if you identify he's high ownership in the teams ahead of you I'd fade him and look at someone more PODish. I love Libba as a pick in the run home, also think guys like Butters has the potential (albeit has the injury risk profile too). Macrae as a forward could also do it, however you don't want to be behind on a top tier mid so it would depend on team balance.

If you can survive the next 2 weeks, Sicily could be an amazing POD, but you could easily fall 100-150 point further behind without that cash invested and that would be so hard to make up in just 7 rounds. Good luck whichever way you go!

Treloar definitely a pod I would look at. Obvious risk, but has the ability to score huge and in only 1% of teams. Would want to have an extra trade in hand though.

Blues fans, do you think Fogarty and/or Cuningham stay in the side for the season now, as long as they're fit?
Both played well in round 14, Cuningham definitely should stay in all year with any luck but that was his 1st senior game since round 9 2021. He's had so many injuries I couldn't pick him with any confidence.

And that was Fogarty's 4th game in 2 years, he's had a few smaller injuries but been playing mainly VFL

Change of plan. Ashcroft and humphrey out.. ryan and sheldrick in.
Leaves me with sheldrick and johnson rotating at m8 until the final upgrade (if at all possible).
Injuries and agressive trading early on has really stuff up my year. Something to remember next year

I need one more bloke to complete my midfield, looking at Walsh strongly so is fading Clarry a smart/stupid move?

Bont
Laird
Trac
Zerrett
Neale
Green
Titch

I think the last 2 blokes in that list would be the weak link but there's ntg much I can do about it now with low trades.

Last move -

Marshall > Dawson with 3 trades and 15k left (Dawnson would be in my mids with humphrey as 23rd)
Or
Marshall and humphrey > Libba and TT (TT would be my 23rd)

Marshall>Bont is my first trade. So glad to finally get te great man Bont into my team. This pushes Taranto forward and leaves me with 5 trades and one mid upgrade to make.

My second trade is likely to be Humphrey>Fletcher which will give me the funds to get any mid up to $610k for JVR next week. This will leave me with a finished team and have Fyfe as floating cover for mids, forwards and defence.

Trac has got to the stage where hes so obvious of a pick for anyone wirh the cash that the best move may very well be to take him on, even with the money I'd seriously have considered going unique, now its just made the decision for me haha.

Josh Kelly an option?

I know he had the hammy, but (but??!) he came back and put in a monster score. Low ownership, reasonably priced still..
