That was an Adelaide bye round.

In the last month he has become the third midfielder in the CB rotations.

Last season his role changed a bit toward the end of the year. If I recall he was carrying a shoulder injury in the back half.

Edit: This was the end of last season:

Keays had minor surgery to repair his AC Joint this week while Murphy will have foot surgery after playing through discomfort this year.

“Keaysy had been battling with the shoulder the last three or four weeks of the season and the decision was made to have it repaired,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.

I’ve still got scars from last year, I wish I knew that before I brought him in for the last 3 rounds! 40, 66 & 46 in my the Grand Final 🤦‍♂️

Gulden and 5 trades left or Libba and 4 trades left.
Still have one upgrade (Fyfe) to go and will prob need another 2 trades to complete that one.

Hi Guys, currently top 60 and hoping for some help.

Does anyone have any suggestions on ways for me to move forward? 1st priority is to trade Humphrey (possibly to Mullin) to open up Def/Mid link again. Would give bank of 300k
Weak links appear to be Day/Sheezel/Steele on field and no English. Also not having great coverage on the fwd bench or any DPP to cover there.

Do I use a 2nd trade this week to go Marshall to English while the difference is only 50k. Marshall has WCE so would it be worth holding another week? Would leave me 4 trades and 250k in the bank and lots of bench depth with Seamus, Ashcroft and MJ

I was hoping to upgrade my team to include Sicily and Clarry down the line (via Day/Sheezel and Steele) and should have enough $ left to do so as long as I don't run out of trades in the mean time.

Appreciate peoples thoughts. Thanks

You've got so much cash there on the bench. Well played.

I do like the Sturt > Rookie Humphrey > Keays (who I think is an upgrade of Cameron). But might also be on Steele as well.

I do like the idea of a DPP F/D rookie for swinging with Sheezel after you buy Sicily.

1. Sturt> F/D rookie
2. Ashcroft > Rookie
3. Mitchell > Sicily
4. Humphries > Keays

2 injury trades. I don't think that's enough. But it might be with that much cover.

The only 2 trades I think you need to do are Humphries to rookie, this week and Mitchell to Sicily. You can do the Sturt trade later, might make more cash at some point. I'd hold the rest for LTIs atm.

The alternative approach is try maximising cash on field. I'd upgrade Steele first in that scenario. And Captain Marshall this week.

thanks mate, 2020 is still catching me out with the rolling lockouts, rolling byes!
Appreciate the info and for correcting my comment.

He was playing injured at the end of last year.

Started the year in a more fwd role but has been seeing more mid time lately.
thanks Jel.
I had heard he tagged Naicos in Rd 7 so was reluctant to trade to him.

I'm looking at a few options this week to finish off the team:

Option 1:
Last boost for Humphrey, Weddle & Roo > Houston , Gulden & Mullin
This would leave me with 4 trades left, Mitchell (Once Sic returns) Johnson and Ford as bench cover. Ideally I'd use 2 trades in the first week of the finals to upgrade the worst performer of Sheezel and Ziebell to bring in Clarry.

Def: Daicos, Stewart, Dawson, Houston, Sinclair, Mitchell (Siciliy, Mullin)
Mid: Dunkley, Bont, Laird, Merrett, Neale, Brayshaw, Serong, Green (Johnson, Constable, Sharp)
Ruc: Witts, Briggs (Madden)
Fwd: Taranto, Rozee, COGs, Gulden, Ziebell, Sheezel (Ford, Roberts)

Option 2:
This week: Humphrey & Weddle > Daniels & Mullin
Next week: Roo > Mills
This would leave me with 4 trades left, Mitchell (Once Sic returns) Johnson and Ford as bench cover. I would not longer be able to get Clarry, would have to bring in a FWD upgrade if looking to move Ziebell or Sheezel come finals.

Def: Daniels, Daicos, Stewart, Dawson, Sinclair, Mitchell (Siciliy, Mullin)
Mid: Bont, Laird, Merrett, Neale, Brayshaw, Serong, Green, Mills (Johnson, Constable, Sharp)
Ruc: Witts, Briggs (Madden)
Fwd: Dunkley, Taranto, Rozee, COGs, Ziebell, Sheezel (Ford, Roberts)

Keen to hear any other thoughts too. I have considered DCam into the FWDs as RUC cover but with 4 trades left I'd rather roll the dice and use one of those to address any injuries as/when they happen.

3 trades, perhaps Libba and Keays.

I posted this on the Round 16 Teams thread but I think maybe it should have been here instead.
My plan today is Phillipou out for Maric to finance Ashcroft out for Laird. I won't have access to the internet between 5.30pm and tonight's game so I won't know whether Maric has been selected until after Ashcroft's game. My question is: if I go ahead and Maric isn't selected can I trade him back out tomorrow for someone else without costing me more than two trades for the round. I currently have 10 trades including 3 boosts.

Yep you can do that 100%, no trade will be used.

With Yeo out, I think I need to cash in Darcy to prep for my last mid role.

Darcy > Madden
Yeo > Dewar (Day back in to DEF)
Humphrey > Merrett (or whoever, but don't really want to cheap out at this stage)

Leaves me 5 trades and $550k to bring in Oliver for whomever next week (ha!) at M8, with Sheldrick and Johnson and JVR as cover.

Why are people going Dewar over someone like O. Riccardi? Just a better floating loophole or are people actually hoping he'll debut?

5 trades left, Clarry and Humphrey need to go.

THinking down to Butters and 1 of either Day or Keays.

My head says Keays but looking at Will Days run the next 5 weeks and with a turnaround in scoring could he go on a run for the rest of the season?? Also gives me dpp with dawson and constable in the backline..... Thoughts???

You've held Clarry for this long, how will you feel if he plays next week? Very much a POD too

How would people rate Sheldrick's job security now?

I can do Johnson to Butters (in mid, allows me to get Clarry if an uber premo fwd is injured) and Weddle to Sheldrick. Sheldrick would then cover def and mid, and in a week or 2 with some luck on my side I could do JVR to Jezza to cover forwards and rucks.
