Johnson, Humphrey to Libertore, Bytel who might play again from the cheap rookies. Fortunately traded Oliver to Petracca last week.

He'll be a warm body getting games but he'll lose some money if this stuck in the fwd line role continues, it's hard to know for sure Macca, he could score another 90 this week for all we know. Depends on what you could use the money for now I guess if you're offloading him.
Cheers @Russty_ …was going to have as my bench cover however with scores like this may make me think about using his cash to upgrade instead…want Mills but he won’t be ripe until next week

Trying to work out what to do here for the run home.
5 trades left, $25k in bank.

Team is "full premo" but wary my backline might be on the lighter side with the fluctuations of Ziebell/ Sheezel and the glaringly obvious Tom Stewart sized hole...

Unfortunately I didn't pull the trigger on Humphrey to Keays last week so tossing up what to do now.

I can either downgrade Humphrey to a rookie option (even the likes of Sheldrick) and have the coin to upgrade Ziebell to Stewart. This would however mean likely running with Sheldrick on field for a week or two with Oliver issues.
Alternatively, I swap Humphrey for someone like Himmerlberg or Matt Kennedy who provide a bit more flexibility with my defence - but likely means I struggle to get Stewart in until late in the year.

Unsure on the Oliver issue... my main target would be Lachie Neale. But I know my opponent this week and next also have Oliver. And if I can get through these weeks without trading then he would be ideal in the run home. Plus it saves me burning some precious trades.

Without much bench strength, getting to Stewart is hard work. Downgrade Humphrey and you could easily have a soft score o***etting Stewart over Ziebell.

Feels like Sheldrick has run already, one 60 and he stops making money. Any other rookie like Hewett may be a slow growth.

Probably Go Himmelberg for Humphrey, Cogs to mids whilst Oliver out. Then you can loop Himmel with Ziebell using donuts if you bring Dewar in from the Eagles over time.

Your 22 looks good, and with Hall not playing I wouldn’t worry too much about trying to upgrade to Stewart from the likes of Ziebell.

Bench cover is looking quite thin, so I reckon I’d be looking to trade Humphrey to a good DPP rookie type, or ideally conserving his cash for a Mills type but with DPP (maybe Kennedy is a decent example).

Ie I think it’s probably time to build some DPP flex for cover - your onfield side looks comfortably good enough to me.

Thanks guys - yeh I'm probably going to struggle to get really solid cover across all lines. I think getting the likes of Himmelberg / Kennedy is probably my play this week. With either of them in I've got enough DPP flexibility that as long as I don't have more than one injury to deal with a week then I'm fine to cover. Also, realistically I'm in need of league wins on the run home, so if I do cop a double injury/suspension week I'll likely need to trade anyway.

I'll see what teams look like this week and likely make the wrong decision between Himmelberg and Kennedy haha

Was going to go Humphrey to D. Cameron but with 2 trades left, I haven’t got the luxury to do it, but knowing me I will burn it by the start of the round😳as my team is💩

Oh Yeo… tempted to cover him for two weeks (Weddle/Johnson) as an avenue to Sicily. Otherwise, I’ll probably flick to Trac this week and play on. Can also reach Cripps with a singular trade :sneaky:

Wow, Yeo's injury feels like a spit to my face even without him on my team. Is this level of SC carnage unprecedented by round 16? Or has it just been slightly worse than usual this year?

The more I think about how long this season has left, and how much carnage we've already seen, the more I think I'm going to keep Oliver again. It seems madness when I can go directly to a consistent super-premo who I should have already had, but doing a sideways for 135 - 270 points seems risky at this point. It was the move a month ago, but for me, now, I think I hold. (Note, although I'm trying to maximise overall position, I can't actually make any meaningfully high ranking, and I also am sick of losing prelims!). If I do trade Oliver it will be to facilitate a triple faix-premo injection while maintaining bench cover, but I'm not sure I can even do an in: Mills/Cripps/B Smith type move. Probably better to get Mills next week more cheaply.

I've held Oliver all this time. Do I just sideways to Laird given the timeline is still an unknown? Feel like I've lost 400+ points by not doing this a month ago......
As always it ranking vs leagues. My rank dropped from about 5000 to 10,000 just last week. Have a few cash leagues including a $100 one. Take a look at Oliver's last 4 weeks. Will be a fantastic POD for league glory. Easier for me to hold with Thomas and Fyfe as cover.

Interested in peoples thoughts, as I’m undecided what to do.
I have solid cash cows still to make money. Wardlaw, Ford, Cincotta, Johnson, Mitchell, Melican, Harrison. I have 2 spots to upgrade and no cash but have 8 trades left. This leaves my upgrade options right now as the range including Cripps and Steele. Hardly spicy additions.
I think I play 2 premos down (my squad is ordinary but at least I have good bench coverage). Let the cows build a bit longer and see who’s in range in a couple of weeks. I’m out of the running in SCS cash league, languishing in last place, but still in the mix in another cash league.
Do I pull the trigger early to get Cripps, or be content playing the likes of Johnson and Wardlaw on field?

Also upcoming rookies look thin although I don’t have Maric so could be this week or never.
sorry another edit - I could trade Mitchell/Johnson this week and get to Walsh or Tom green.
