Which player out of Fogarty and Cunningham has the better job security? Looking at doing just the 1 trade this week of Fyfe to either of these players and bank $150k.
Cuningham has been mentioned as having the better JS by several Carlton supporters who frequent SCS.
Yep. It's an awkward one as I'd say Cuningham has slightly better JS, but his durability is on Fyfe/Yeo's level.

As a Carlton supporter, I can't possibly trade him in, but I'll be very happy if he makes it through the rest of the season unscathed.

Non-Carlton supporters can trade him in and hope his continued success also leads to continued Carlton success :sneaky:

Thanks for the feedback.

Not requiring him to make it through the season. If he could make it to say round 20 and make $100k+ I'll be able to downgrade him to a rookie and upgrade Wardlaw to say a $600k gun as my final upgrade. Fingers crossed?

Have Yeo to trade just depends if it’s this week or next.

Current plan is to loop Maric as he is my cover for Dunkley. If he scores above 60 I’ll take it.

If not I’ll trade Yeo to J Cameron against North which is juicy.

Plan is then if Gawn gets DPP Yeo to Gawn rather than D Cameron for ruck cover.

Thoughts? Think it’s unlikely Maric gets over 60. Surely won’t get dropped even though he was a late in. Thought he played well.

That's what I've been thinking too, although Himmelberg still found enough footy on the weekend in a game that didn't suit scoring for key position players and he still scored 84.

Hurn's PPM has been crazy great the last handful of games.

In the end, it'll come down to my levels of greed & I think I know which way that'll end up going.
Best of luck whichever way you go….
the end of the season you want to be able to enjoy watching your team and take risks….better that than play it safe and be unhappy with your team or have the same team as others and therefore not be able to make ground…

With the prospect of upcoming carnage, and the likely loss of Fyfe and Dunkley this week I think I'll end up saving the trade and just do Fyfe and Ashcroft to Mills and the best <394k M or M/F. Maybe JHF, Thomas, Liam Henry, Sheldrick, Flanders? They will become my F7, D9/10 swing if Dunkley and Oliver are both playing and Mills will "complete my team" with a bunch of faux premos and 4 trades left.
Ashcroft vs WCE at the Gabba? surely worth holding for another week or 2?
I went Fyfe to Mills this week, thats not too much $$$ to find.

Brisbane play WCE, don't think you'll be able to loop a WCE player for Dunks? Or trade Yeo after that game!

I think those with lots of trades (5+ trades) - he's a good trade in. Should make $ and can be traded later in the season.

Even those low on trades, he could be a good trade-in.
I just wouldn't be relying on him for coverage late in the season is all, with his durability, so I'm not making him a priorirty this week unfortunately.

Dunks feels a bit make or break in terms of a quick jump up the rankings. Could flick him to a Butters or even Oliver type but I think with the uncertainty around how many games he'll miss it's risky. If he misses just the 1 it's a waste, 2 probably breakeven and 3 and up a win this late into the season.

Can cover with Windhager/Johnson so probably no trade.

Awkward number of games left in the season isn't it. A couple fewer and the decision to trade Dunks gets a lot easier. Not sure what I will do yet, no bench cover isn't any fun though.

The kicker is you just don't know what's around the corner. Last season I played it safe but had a premium M/F has cover. Actually went into the final round with a trade left that really didn't need to be used.

I could be wrong (likely will be) but last season was a blessed run of injuries late in the season for everyone. I feel like it can't be that good this season (and an extra round) so hopefully those with trades gain traction in the latter rounds. Otherwise being super aggressive with trades was the way to go (again!)

Thanks fellas. It's what I'm leading to. This brings me to the next phase which is x vs y.

Wardlaw/fyfe out vs libba/chesser in?
Ford/fyfe out vs libba/102 donut in?

Libba/chesser vs Petraca/102k rookie?

Lol.

How is your bench cover at the moment? If you have another warm body in that line, then 102k rookie is tempting but depends on your coverage imo

The Dunkley conundrum is going to do my head in all week and I'm sure I will land on the wrong side of the coin.

My two options are one trade Yeo to Mills and cover Dunkley with Maric while he is injured.

Or can two trade Dunkley and Yeo to Macrae and Dawson.

Rough calculations using averages shows that will gain 100 points if Dunkley misses one game, 176 points if Dunkley misses 2 games and 252 points if Dunkley misses 3 games.

Have also run some numbers with Dunkley coming back at 90% of his current average for the rest of the year and the yields increase to 184 for 1 week, 248 for 2 weeks and 312 for 3 weeks.

Note have used Dunkley's average without the sub affected score and have removed Mills' sub affected score as well.

We all know Supercoach doesn't work like this as scores are highly volatile but just trying to rationalise my thought process.

Also worth mentioning I have 5 trades left currently.
