I think Dobey might take a while to recover from that.
All bt had it won, even missed a match dart by 2mm.
He looked like a shell of a man during parts of that 8th set.
Couldn't by a double to save himself in the end.
I think he hit something like 7 of his last 36 doubles.
Even fell below the 100 average in the end, after being above it 95% of the match!

Did not expect that comeback. Thanks captain!

I happened to look up the odds when it was 4-0 (I was interested who was the favourite in the other 3 matches) and saw Dobey was paying 1.005 to win in in-match betting at that point. Didn't see the Cross odds, but they must have been pretty high.

This was one of the key reasons I was cautious about handing him the captaincy. Cross with the superior doubling percentage (2023 and event) and didn’t give Dobey much wriggle room for the misses by sitting on one to two dart combos and not letting him back in,
