This is where I’m at, 5.9k spare:

One thing that stands out is the lack of mid pricers. Williams is the only one currently which allows me to have 13 premiums/speculative picks. I may drop one of Steele/Martin down to a mid pricer in MID or DEF (Wardlaw, Sheldrick, Budarick, T.Dow, Berry) to upgrade a FWD rookie to a mid pricer (Fyfe, Harmes, Billings). Have been running a 5/5/2/0 premo setup for most of preseason until the past week.
DEF: Stewart has been locked in for a while now. Has the least question marks of all the 600k+ defenders in my opinion, especially after Blanck’s injury.
Houston has only recently been in my drafts. Usually a player that you can pick up for much cheaper due to his inconsistency. But given he has 7 of his first 10 at AO where he averaged 116.1 in games there last season (including finals), I’m willing to take that risk. Was also much more consistent at home than away.
Sheezel has been a mainstay for a while now. Missed out on Daicos last year and I’m not missing out this time. Not too worried about Fisher.
Young one of my first picked.
Williams is pretty much a must have unless he gets injured before round 1. Point scoring is not an issue. Just needs to stay on the park. Not worried about
Curtin, watched him very closely last year, star in the making.
Gibcus should be good for 150k if he stays fit.
Phillips must be a decent shot of making the 22, VFL stats looks good. See how he goes in the praccy’s.
MID:
Tossing up between the Adelaide boys and still far from a final decision.
Dawson in there for now.
Butters is the most settled of the premo MIDs. Hoping Wines doesn’t affect him too much.
Brayshaw the pick of the Freo boys for now. Have had just Serong or even both in other drafts. Highly likely I’ll start at least 1.
LDU fighting with a few others for a spot. Think he has the best scoring potential of any mid around or under his price, but weary of his injury history.
Steele hasn’t been in many drafts but starting to warm to it. Probably the one to drop if I moved to 5 MID premos.
Martin has overtaken Amon for the speculative premo spot. Have heard some big wraps on him from training and Amon has some uncertainty with the Hawks backline situation.
McKercher and
Sanders both locks.
Sharp,
Clark and
Sinn are my top 3 123k MID rookies for now, obviously only placeholders.
RUC:
Gawn and
Grundy fairly set in stone. Given Marshall and Darcy some thought, but the value is too good to pass up and too risky to fade given their ownerships. R3 has been chopping and changing and have
Naismith there for now. If someone <200k plays round 1 I’ll start them, if not, I’ll just go down to Livingstone.
FWD:
Have been running a no premo forward line for most of preseason, but I’ve ended up going for
Flanders. Hardwick’s comments have swayed me.
Reid is the biggest lock in the game.
Lazzaro should play round 1. Whether he gets enough midfield time is the question.
Macrae should score well if he plays, but does he? R0 will help. If he’s selected,
Sexton will be in my team. The role is too good.
Mannagh I thought would be a lock for a best 22 spot, but there is still some doubt. Lock if selected.
Wilson has had a good preseason by reports, hopefully manages a game.
Darcy holding down F8. Placeholder for a 123k rookie.
