Yeah taking a while. Last summer I was into 9.4 and over winter just lost all ability to play the game and blew right out (well as much as they let you now) so slowly creeping my way back down.

I'm not a member anywhere, so I just try to play different public courses in Melbourne, or try out some of the crazy golf deal offers. Broken 80 at Dorset, Ringwood and Morack over the last three weeks. Plenty of practice, but two new club purchases have made a big difference.

I’m currently sitting at a G.A of 10.1

Handicap has blown from 7 to 11

Simply don't play enough and never ever practice.

What is _enough_? I'm stuck in that "driving kids everywhere" phase, and pretty much never get a proper round in (last handicap counting round was pre covid.....oh dear). Long game holds up ok for the occasional 9, but short game is disastrous whenever I step on course.

I would advise that you score 2 eagles and 9 birdies good luck Brett!

Yes that’s correct we have only a small club and a grade is the smallest of all grades. The leader is a scratch golfer and second is about 5. (3 behind) I started at 8 and am now at 7 after 3 rounds. Last week the putter deserted me should have been 6-8 better off but had an 80. (Course par is 70) I’ve had 77,77,80 leader 73,76,73

Good luck. 1st is 12 shots ahead of 3rd?

Looks flashy and expensive m’ships
Hope u hit them well.
I play the great East Framlingham GC
We ain’t a big club but the fairways are best in the area (including Warrnambool and port fairy) and the greens are small undulating but run pure and are pretty damn quick compared to anything around here also.
It ain’t a long course but even when pros come out they don’t tare the place to shreds which gives me great solice that im not as bad as what i think i am 😂😂😂
