Which is reliant on Houston keeping or improving the number of 150+ scores (2 post bye from 9 matches and only one prior in his career), unless he improves his floor to reduce those sub eighty scores, to reach those heights in average.
I find that it is not the just the floor but (because I cannot think of any other suitable term) the floor consistency. All premos even those in the 110 to 115 range have a bad one. Even Laird went 50 Rd 1 last year and he ave 117. The improvers show they have a high ceiling and often early on, but it is the bottom to mid range consistency where they fail. Take Gulden. In 2022 he showed he can score well with 6 tons including two 130 plus. But he had 15 sub 90 scores. Come 2023 he breaks out. He has some monster scores but reduces his sub 90 scores to just 5. Houston had 8 sub 90 scores last year so be needs to reduce that number IMO as well as get some big scores.

From what I saw of the game which admittedly wasn’t much, I think Massimo was playing more on the wing so Amon may not have that much of an impact on Mass from half-back.
Massimo will probably be given a role on the wing for Jiath or they may leave him in defence as a good user of the ball and push someone else out to the wing for Jiath?

9 tackles from Steele in a praccy match - that's a telling stat right there.
Depends if you believe the accuracy and whether they can delineate and are aware of what constitutes a tackle or not.
https://www.championdata.com/faqs/afl/
Tackles
Q: What if more than one player is applying a tackle?
A: After a tackle has been applied, if a second player or a third player (and so on) from the same team arrives and also applies a tackle and has an impact on the ball carrier, then they’ll get awarded with a tackle too. If they don’t impact the ball carrier, then they won’t get paid a tackle.

Missed Tackle (Broken Tackle)
Q: The player clearly made physical contact with the opponent but no tackle was awarded. Why?
A: If a player is being impeded by an opponent and then breaks the attempted tackle to get a disposal away, then no tackle will be awarded.

No Tackle
Q: A player was tackled as they disposed of the ball. Why wasn’t a tackle awarded?
A: If a player attempts to tackle a player in the act of disposing of the ball, and that disposal is deemed to be effective, then no tackle will be awarded. If it leads to an ineffective disposal or a clanger disposal or prevents a disposal, then a tackle shall be awarded. The defensive player is credited with a tackle attempt.

I guess when you look across the table at other players and they look pretty stable in terms of usual numbers I have to place more weight on it being accurate rather than not, If everyone had 5+ tackles I'd be concerned.

Ignoring the stats for a minute, the big thing regarding Steele was how much better he was moving/ hunting the ball & tackling without trying to protect his shoulder - he looked like the Steele of old to me.
The tackle numbers for Steele, for me anyway are always the key stat I look for. It shows his intent and physicality and like you say isn't restricted in movement which has always been his nemesis.

The good thing is that this year we are blessed with plenty of other good options around that price point if he gets away slow. He's low risk and without the bye early which for me has him in front of Touk

Just wait until the following seasons when we have track watchers at every training session keeping tabs. Wow, Player Y has 42 kicks so far and he is using it very well, Player X is a no show and it is only November!

WA in store for a treat tonight. A pretend derby with imaginary stats and each team receives pity points for missing the goals which could determine the winner as they are too lazy to play extra time and then a few kilometres away, a soap opera emanates from Optus Stadium. :ROFLMAO:

Gulden surprises me as round these parts I've hardly spotted him in a team.
Definitely a casualty of the rnd5 bye, Grundy and Daicos have maxxed out that round, throw in Adams for good measure and it's easy to see why.

Of course, those not starting Daicos or Adams can afford to slot him in, oh wait, that's me, haha

Has now jumped the shark so unfortunately no more cashless sides to come in any of the Supercoach or Sportsdeck formats this season. Was fun while it lasted. This after earlier in the week Insight Fantasy Sports starting their Supercoach World Cup which I raised a similar concept in a pm here pre Covid at the end of 2019 involving a few Sportsdeck comps as well. On top of that, everyone is now starting to cotton on about the sub $500,000/ cheap forward line structure (which I have tested to no success in the past few seasons). :ROFLMAO:

At Optus the soap opera playing is no doubt "The Bold and The Beautiful". Meanwhile at the Derby, knowing the history of these teams there is a very good chance it will be "General Hospital".
