Yes that right he has but has had a very interrupted pre season due to what I believe was groin surgery. (Correct me if I’m wrong guys) and is only getting back to full training
What groin surgery? He trained fully through December and January before experiencing glute soreness on the Sunshine Coast on 30 January which scans showed was a low-grade hamstring strain. At that stage the plan was for him to play some of the Community Series match against Hawthorn on 2 March.

Even as recently as early this week he was a chance to play in today's match sim, he trained with the main group and then split off to do running with the rehab group. He is still expected to play next Saturday.

My current team that seems to change daily.
Happy with most of my selections, although I'm on a massive Fyfe watch today. (Yes, I'm totally aware of the risk.)
16 players under 225k should be able to generate handy cash.
Having a total of 13 players from North, Freo, and the Bulldogs is a little concerning though.

This is where my rabble are currently sitting. Looked for a bit of value with players ready to take the next step, so probably not for the feint hearted.

Very nice! A few POD'S, especially getting the most out of the early bye rounds. Only Grundyand Williams will be missing. Like the picks of Serong and Rankine.

Really nice team, like the balance. I can see why you have done well in recent years.
I think most coaches will have a dozen dogs, north and dockers players.

Here is where I am currently at

DEF:
Houston
- I think will play at times up the ground with Esava now at PTA, but I think will still maintain his scoring as of last year with a few more 150+
Sheezel & Young - pick themselves
Williams - I am confident if he plays R0 will pass his BE and be able to make some decent $$
Rookies - I am still undecided and need to see more from the practice games (this is the same for all positions)

MID:
Petracca
- GUN! Whether Clayton plays or not, his ability to move forward and provide Score Assists, and score goals is perfect for SC
Daicos - Can't leave out as too many others have him
Butters - Will go to next level this season
Serong - Had him before last night. Hopefully still a POD
Martin - Expect to him to be involved in a lot more Bombers key plays
Wardlaw - Can't wait to see him this season

RUC:
Gawn & Grundy
- Have toyed with others, but just don't feel comfortable going against the grain

FWD:
Jackson
- Expect Fremantle to be better this season, but also expect him to go well. Also good back up for Gawn& Grundy during their bye rounds
Flanders -Going to be good
Fyfe - Again, had him before yesterday, but perfect to get some $$ before Rd 6 or 7 when expect him to be managed after that.
Jordon - Only just brought him in. Not sure on this pick yet

Overall, haven't had too much focus on byes yet. Will look at that later this week, especially latter byes around premiums

Doesn't really fit your current team, but you may want to consider Hustwaite. I'm expecting his current 2.5% ownership might be a bit higher by this time tomorrow. Pity he is Mid only. Apparently been having a good pre season. Played reasonably well in Rd 23 last year in his first game, the whole team was rubbish in Rd 24, not just him. He's one of the players I'm most interested to see how they perform tomorrow.

Wait and see how they go tomorrow I guess.
Could keep the six mid premium structure with two early byes to field him in RD2 and RD3.

Weak backline but NWM, Coleman & Campbell are all classy, just live in hope their teammates prioritise getting the ball into their hands.

Strong midfield. Hopefully they get the bulk of my points. No mids with early byes, not even my bench.

Marshall rucking on his own is a gun scorer. Grundy is obviously the one ive avoided. I like Grundy but he has an early bye and from him and Gawn, Max has the higher ceiling. If i could use the extra $ from Marshall > Grundy in a really productive way, i would - but i actually think save for upgrading my backline, there arent that many options that i like with the extra $.

Im happy with a cheap forwardline too - rookies & mid-pricers galore.

Having 40 trades coupled with early byes, this could be the year to chase a bit more value and trade in premiums after early byes.

Fyfe/Billing’s/Harmes could become Flanders if he looks the real deal and Crouch to Daicos rd 6.

Not for the faint hearted but at this stage happy to go for it. Will no doubt change over the next couple weeks lol. 941F178F-2FD6-4087-A773-24B17927192B.jpeg

Too many mid pricers for me. Very risky back line

Thoughts?? Lot heavier forward line then ive been seeing here which has me worried. View attachment 68147
Good team, strong in defense and also forward line strong…
Something to be mindful of is the byes…your forward line impacted by Flanders,Adams,Macrae, Sexton and Cadman all having byes in the first six rounds..
Like the midfield inclusion of Wardlaw however think you need another premium mid in there ( moving Reid forward).

In mids be mindful Dunkley also has the bye in round 2….
