I'd be a little careful with Heeney, Yeo did a proper job on Bont last week and I can see the same happening this week, it's nearly a Monty that Heeney will go forward to break the tag, much the same as Bont.

No probs. Your side looks good to me, especially for someone in their second year!
A few thoughts that come to mind:
- Cash gen is very important, especially early in the year when almost all the good rookies debut, and when you get to deploy that cash for longest. You can’t build a good side without cash gen.
- You generally want a player to have a path to making 150k to be worth trading in. Take their price, divide by 5000, and that’s roughly what they are priced to score. They need to beat that by 30+ points to make 150k, which is often a high hurdle. Very low priced players (largely rookies) and those who haven’t had their first price rise are much more likely than others.
- In general, try to fill your forward line with players who aren’t actually playing as forwards. Key position forwards in particular can be volatile, but often more down than up.
- Where possible, try to have the better scoring rookies on field and vice versa. Eg ideally you’d have Sanders on field ahead of Berry. This might only add 10 or so points per week on current averages, but gives some direction in terms of where making upgrades will be most impactful.
- Your defence bench looks concerning, but you can probably live with it if you are uncomfortable with the new rookie options on that line (I am weighing this up myself), given best 18 rounds to come and then DPPs that could allow you to swing McKercher or Roberts back (and Sanders on field).
- Don’t trade to cover a single donut.
- When weighing up which rookies to trade out, look at both near term cash gen (based on breakevens/recent scores) as well as medium term prospects - ie if they can get to what you expect them to score x 5,000, that might still be appealing even if they don’t make a lot this week or next.
Overall I would say my priorities for your side would be cash gen, strengthening F3+ and then the defence bench if you find an option that you find appealing. Good luck.
