$90,200 bank. 5 boosts.

Options I have looked at:
  1. Dawson & Sexton > Darcy & Flanders/Neale/Rowell
  2. Fyfe & Jordan > Darcy & Flander
  3. Sexton & Hore > Darcy & Draper
  4. Fyfe, Hore & Howes > Darcy, Draper & Clark/Dale
Just going round in circles.

Advice please?
Agree witn aj74 - Dawson / Jordon or Fyfe / Berry > Green / Flanders / Darcy looks like a good option. Sexton still with a healthy breakeven and potential DPP coming up, Hore and Howes also in negative BE territory and will still make you good $$. Will probably need to trade Jordon next round so leaning slightly towards him over Fyfe.

Put Reid on the ground & make Howes emergency - if he scores ok tonight, bank that score.

Then :-

Dawson/Fyfe/Berry > Flanders/Powell/Darcy

Sanders comes onto the field in the midfield, Wilson swings up to the mid bench.

Jordon the other option instead of Fyfe for Powell.

Adding 2 fwd premiums to your most vulnerable line.

Dawson has been very disappointing so far, but I’d be backing him in to come good.
Options 3 & 4 will help with the R6 bye, when you’ll come under some pressure with the current lineup

Thanks @aj74, @misterspock, @Shannon and @warewolves.

Thinking Dawson > Flanders today and wait for tomorrow for S Darcy and other trades.

warewolves, I would usually wait for Dawson to turn it around but Laird and Crouch are scoing well and Nicks hasn't changed the midfield mix with his team selection so I don't see much changing for Dawson

Is it better to go Darcy over Dempsey and have $118k spare rather than $22k spare
Seems like an obvious answer really

Haven't been over this forum fully but is Parfitt a chance to keep averaging 95 as a mid priced gem?? I feel his role is secure he played well with Dangerfield in then well again vs Hawks... always seems to get 6-10 tackles which is handy for his scores too.. only 296 k and breakeven -22 this week:)

no non playing mids so I am thinking of rolling the dice with Berry tonight over Sanders tbh.... assistant coach on adelaide site mentioned how they have faith in Berry and his excellent preseason and they expect him to be back to that form this week.. contested game vs dees should suit too... I think Sanders will score less vs Geelong and Macrae is back too to take some ball and mid mins off him..

I find it interesting that this thinking hasn't really been applied to Daicos by anyone on here yet. Daicos has a breakeven of 178, a potential tag by Finn Manginess (pending teams) in which he scored 41 against the hawks last year, and he's missing the next game too with the bye.

Yeah you're likely to bring him back with another trade when he bottoms out, but the potential money saved and points on the field during the bye sure is appealing. Things to consider.
I think the thing with Daicos is that he scored consecutive 130’s before the 54. We’ve also copped two price drops, so may as well keep riding him for the long term.

The problem with that 54 is it came in his 3rd match, so we had no choice but to cop it. If we were going to sell to preserve cash, it should’ve been last week before the 112.

Teams will be telling for the hawks match. If no Finn, then you probably back Daicos in for a big one.

Considering
D Wilson > S Darcy
Jordan/ Billings/Fyfe > Powell, leaning to trading Billings out
Not sure whether to use my first Boost on Z Reid > T Brown for cash generation.
Would appreciate comments.

My downfall has always been too slow to upgrade my team. I have used 3 trades and no boosts up to today.

Thoughts on LDU/REID/HOWES > STEELE/POWELL /DRAPER ?

Holding Hore in defence for now, and have Miller already. The money I free up from LDU > Steele allows for Powell who I believe can be top 6 FWD.

If you believe you're turning one premo & a non-cash generating rookie into 2x premos and a cash-generating rookie and you're happy with it then I think you should go for it.

Hadn't considered Parfitt before, but I think a 95 average is unsustainable given he needs 10 tackles a game to do so; I doubt he'll keep this up. If you think he goes close to 90 losing only a few tackles per game then back your research in & grab him.

I'm definitely not averse to a midpriced bargain as I'm currently looking at E.Hollands and now S.Berry to flip Harley Reid to next week.

Also struggling with this... Was headed for a great score and subbed off. Week before played a different role, but still scored well. The 'soreness' is hard to get a read on. Is it a knock that was just sore in the moment, or is his body sore due to age etc. Considering he plays best as that contested inside mid, it is definitely a worry. Im 75% towards trading him to Green, but every time I look at it, I keep thinking that Libba is actually still playing fine, and has just been a little unlucky.. A hard decision for sure.
Professor posted a tweet from officialwoof in the lead up to rd1. He was away from main group doing his in front of trainers. I'll try to find it.

oh you think Berry will go well tonight and thinking of bringing him in for Reid?? but wouldn't you need to do that before tonight as his breakeven is -2.. or happy to pay the bigger price next week if he shows something tonight/outperforms Hollands from carlton?

I'm happy to buy more information by paying up a little more for players when I make these sorts of decisions. If I think I need an extra week's worth of info then so be it.
