Sharp is the rookie I missed.

Might have to rectify that this week as don’t want to go into two weeks of best 18 without what looks like one of the highest ceiling rookies.
Having watched that game closely. It reminds me of what people said about Billings’ 119 game. Nearly the perfect winger’s game. He did get himself involved here and there, but the majority of his possessions were cheap ones on the wing boundary line as Freo were escaping from their defensive 50.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a consistent 60-70 scorer from here, but think that will be his only score above 90 for a while.

Just went and had a look at his heat map and I see what you mean.

It a tough in as a couple of 70s would see him make another $100 K by round 7 and so may come down to where else similar money can be made.

I’m not against the trade, just temper the expectations for scoring is all. Going to be 250-260k as well after this price rise. I’d be ecstatic with another 60k over two weeks from there.

You’d spew if he drops two 50’s and only makes between 30-50k (I’m only guessing) after paying a premium for him.

Interesting

Heeney - > Horne-Francis

then probably gets enough cash to do the Howes - > May trade in Round 7 (wait to check projections on Footywire)

Would leave Daicos , Houston , May , Sheezel + D'Ambrosio & Williams / Brown , Reid

Upgrade D'Ambrosio & Williams to premium D or mids via McKercher/Roberts (once they peak they will need to be upgraded)

Ryan unrealistic to get (for my team situation)

Sicily (form) , Stewart dropping still would need bench downgrade cash.

Sinclair wait until firm picks up and favourable fixtures

Leaves JHF , unlikely to be Top 10 mid so would still need to be upgrading.

So does JHF + May score significantly more than Heeney + Howes to make it worth it ? 🤔
I’d personally prefer going to guys I feel stronger about being keepers in their respective positions but JHF and May definitely present value.

Totally agree

The guys dropping though eg Daicos , Dawson , Gulden , LDU , Oliver , Sicily , Sinclair probably bottom out in Round 7 though

Some obviously have scoring issues at the moment so may not even be line keepers.

I guess you probably need to make $ 125-150k on the Heeney trade to make it worthwhile.

Heeney maybe to a bubble rookie rookie then pump the cash into a quick McKercher/Roberts/Sanders upgrade (all probably have a lot more cash to make though)

Lots of possibilities depending on each person's team and situation.

I am currently cash poor and poor bench rookies , others may be all cashed up and ready for upgrades

Are we def sure Combden has job security if he has a poor one vs Geelong?? like it's obvious he is the future but Scott may still rotate him and Pink.... it's easy for us to see he should play every week but some coaches don't think the same sometimes haha
Comben would have played most games last year if not for his broken leg.
think he gets first crack over Pink for sure.

I don't think Jackson's price has moved enough or will drop enough in future to make it worthwhile. Should still be a forward keeper given the lack of options.
Agree…I will be keeping Jackson, sure too finish top 6 forward and provides that flexibility for any injuries or byes to move into the ruck line…

Howes > Clohesy
Sexton > Graham/Tunstill/McAuliffe
Jordon > Miller

Will be upgrading Jordon this week and likely going Howes > Clohesy to mostly fund it as well as Sexton to someone...

Will probably have $590K or so, will look at Green/Merrett/Butters/Daicos in future weeks, for players that have peaked later. Should have just enough for Miller, as long as he goes sub 115 today. Probably a 95-100 is good, enough for me to still be interested in him, but not too poor a score that I get cold feet.

Best 18 for 2 rounds. Going to hold and see if any of the GCS cheap defenders are any good
if they survive 2 games to replace Z Reid.
Can then see who has maxed out and ready to go.
Haven't read through all the pages yet, but are you going early on Clohesy, tso?

Is McGovern in the conversation for a top 6 finish. I know he hasn't done it before but 109 has been his lowest score.
Starts at zero, so the previous scores do not count. Gather the key reasoning for avoiding was the concern about durability. Has anything changed in that regards since the pre season and is there room to budget in two trades on him for the remainder of the season?

Fair point, so that goes with Yeo as well? Both stay fit they could both push for top 8. You are right durability is the factor.
