in: Young, Lohmann

Not sure Young is the pick I should be making at my current rank but it’s either him or Yeo so going the safer route.

Means I’ll be keeping Grundy and passing on Meek, which I’m not particularly happy about.

Lohmann is a great pick, well done.

I did almost that exact trade. Very happy I brought in Gawn with that 139, and put the C on him. Clohesy and Steele also brought in. what did u end up doing?

Went gawn martin and clohesy. Took the 50k with the martin trade.

Mr. Fix It, didn’t hear why Taranto is out, but if 3 or more weeks, could be a play with D/F to go with I assume Comben next week for round 7 DPP.
If a cash play I’d go JHF for 20k less as he presents better value and higher overall scoring ability.

I had this horrible dream that I’d paid $690k to trade in English and he only scored 58. Woke up in a cold sweat and raced to my phone. Looked up the scores and projectile vomited all over the room. I hear ya. 150 B/E too so it’s going to be a long road to recovery and a few more sleepless nights.

I never considered it but having the E on him would’ve been ok as it would’ve allowed me to take Lohmann’s 81 lol

He also cost me some cash as he was the last leg in my multi and fell short by 1 possie (needed just 14 to cover 🤮)

I am really struggling with thinking up a plan this year. I think that I have let these early fixtures get to me.

Anyhow, after copping English last night, I have decided to hold a boost and keep Grundy for now and am trading Burgess & Jordon to Steele and Graham.

That should enable me to trade D’Ambrossio and a rookie downgrade to get Naicos next week.

Graham no chance of being SUB this round? How/why is he a favourite of Dimma's?

Because he has a lot of Tigers' devil in him. Goes hard at the ball, can use it and will not back down. Same with Uwland - he forgotten defender rookie - he'll be in the side all year. Dimma is developing him as the Vlastuin type down back. If you're soft at the ball - Dimma will remove you pretty quickly - example Sexton.

I am tossing up between trading D'Ambrosio and McKercher in order to bring in Steele this week. At the moment I'm leaning towards flicking D'Ambrosio due to his wing role after Round 1. His being named at back pocket could be a good sign but Amon is named on the wing and he played the SC friendly half back role last week, so might not mean a lot.

I'm holding D'ambrosio until next week. Get eh feeling he'll get a bit of space against the Suns and should do OK but nearing the end for sure.

Thoughts on boosting to go Lazzaro and Grundy to Graham and Marshall? Would leave me with 3 boosts.

Sorry to hear that @Chumpion on paper would have seemed the right aggressive move to stay right up there…long term it will pay off but in terms of short term scores and cash spend it would hurt…You have had a brilliant start though so no doubt you will find your way back up there…

So, used a fair amount if my bank, gone early on a rookie, sideways traded a premium, brought in a speculative midpricer and used a boost to do it.

Not sure I could have broken any more trading rules 😬

Brought Marshall in this week, but getting the generationally low English game has made me reconsider if I just go to Meek.

English should drop pretty heavily and although he's got a bigger ruck split with Darcy, I'm wondering if I just wait for him now.

Provided Meek stays in the team for 2/3 weeks, may as well gain the $$$ from him. And see how the landscape goes over that time? English may just be a bust from here on, do we really bevo'nowed? Pts vs Marshall may be 60/80 for the 3 weeks but $$ wise you'll be ahead.
