Think I might be in the same boat with Comben.

So far looking at McKercher, Clark > Clohesy, Graham. Still have to deal with Gibcus but can do that next week to McAuliffe, Garcia, Nyuon or Drury. McKercher and Clarke need to go for losing money. Gibcus ain't going nowhere, pricewise for a bit.

Now I've already got Powell up forward so if I get Comben, then I'm starting to get a bit North-heavy and it starts to get ridiculous if Nyon and Drury come up as well.

I'm looking at Walsh next week and maybe a couple of rookies and I just don't have enough of them mooing for me. Mass, Williams, Howes, Roberts, Sanders, Carroll, Graham, Harley, Darcy, Dempsey and Cadman all have decent money to make.

Only feel good about cashing in Carroll out of that next week along with the injured Gibcus. Think Howes has another 100k in him and he can do that from D7. I'm really not keen to axe him yet.

The wait on Z Reid is almost over so I'm not punting him yet.

So with all that, I've still got to punt one of my rookies/MPs I'd rather keep and that's before I use a cow on Comben.

Going Comben over a 123k option costs me 100k that I may need to be using in the next 2 weeks. With Walsh in the midfield, I can push JHF to M8 with just another 2 premo inclusions. Bont, Green and Trac are both offering massive potential discounts in 2 weeks (though no doubt Bont will smash out a 160 to stall his price drop). I think I should be focusing on positioning to pick up these 3 mids ASAP instead of playing around with the likes of Comben. The timing is just wrong.

If Comben was looking like a forward line keeper, then of course. Fill a forward slot for 220k. But isn't he more 80 points than 100?
Pretty much my thinking. 70-80 most likely and rookies in the pipeline.
Sexton might get another run, heard someone here say he had a good day in the magoos. So I'm looking at spending 40K to trade Duursma, who is somehow getting a game still at least, to Comben. Not worth a trade or boost.

Held Reid as well, let's hope he gets on the park soon.

Mckercher expected to be good for Sunday according to North website. I'm not sure he is that definitive a trade, albeit it will take 3 weeks to get cash benefit from holding him

Issue with Heeney is that if he is FTM he has the talent to go 120 from here on; and this is basically the last chance you have to get him for any value. But if he isn't, he could easily drop to a 105 ppg or even lower. Parker can play forward and whilst Adams is probably worse than Heeney in both lines he's probably more suited to a mid role if his body holds up. Heeney dropped to 55% CBAs in his last game v West Coast. Was that tactical due to the opposition and will he revert back to 70% versus a decent midfield in Gold Coast or is it the new normal? Personally, I think he's going to be settled at around a 50/50 split and go at around 110 for the rest of the season which means he's already overpriced.
The game vs West Coast I'm pretty sure the drop in CBAs was tactical to help deal with Yeo trying to run with him. He basically played mid but would push up from other spots. So wouldn't infer too much from that game alone.

I think the issue is it will take 2 weeks for the 6 to role out and he will lose significant cash in the meantime, B/E of 101 this week, then it might take him 3-4 weeks to make that cash back and then he will be nearly on his bye, if he goes at 63 he will be down to 256k end Rd7, and will be back up to 310k by Rd11, which is 6 weeks.

Plus prior to his injury, his scores were trending down.

I am fairly happy with my team but have made the rookie mistake of not enough cash in the bank for upgrades.
Because of this really thinking of just the one trade this week of W Graham in but who to trade out? It should be Coffield out for him but leaves $41,600 in the bank. Using Mckercher who I feel needs to be traded this week leaves me with $200,600 in the bank for upgrades next week, but leaves the defence very weak.
Any advice and help greatly appreciated 🙂

Have a look at Coffield looping before calling it. 789 are excellent for him and right up to the byes keep him

I would be prioritising maximising cash in bank for upgrades coming in next few rounds

Can't blame them for trying to stay up top but you have to feel that trade burns him in the long run, either by having a poorer player or needing to use an extra trade and cash to get Heeney back.
His rookies are not as good as some I’ve seen, but we all are still playing catchup so he can possibly afford not to upgrade quite as fast at this point.

Wonder how many trades he would have used so far as he has a few rookies that are not making him money.
