Generally by this stage of the season my team is a complete disaster and I am beginning to think about BBL SC.

My team isn't ideal at the moment but I am "only" 786 points off the leader so might still be in contention for winning the whole thing 😀😉

Just need to be smart with the cash I have and hopefully make the right choices

Dare to dream

Might try something different

D'Ambrosio - > D Cameron
Sharp - > Adams
Williams - > May

not ideal , but suits my situation
Why you been so obsessed with May? :ROFLMAO:
I mean he is alright but...injury prone....not tier 1....

I am not an SCer's A****, but i really think you should rethink those trades and aim for guns over middle of the road picks, best of luck mate!

Needed to look at value.

Although many have mentioned how easy it will be to complete teams with ultra premiums , I certainly don't see it for my team hence why I was looking at him.

Now hoping to get Sicily & Stewart in upcoming rounds instead (to add to Daicos , Houston & Sheezel) so hoping Roberts can do the job of D6 as long as possible.

Similarly H Reid will be F6 for as long as possible with (J Cameron , Flanders , Heeney , Jackson , Powell).

Hopefully downgrade options appear in the next 3-4 rounds for Brown , Cadman & Wilson and then that cash upgrades Clohesy , Comben & Graham to best possible players.

Sharp is the missing piece of the puzzle at the moment and what I do with him (so many premium mids about to/are falling in price but will they be affordable at the right price at the right time)

Carlton seem positive that Williams will come up for this week so think i will keep him subject to selection.

Early thoughts are Carroll & Sharp to H Garcia & Jack Bowes.

Would have 492,600 for second trade and want to go one up.
Nice, thanks for the update.

I think as good as it sounds, I generally trade players with a bad injury history at the first sign of trouble, so I think he's still gone for me.

I think you need to put more trust in decent rookies randomly emerging from nowhere down the track that will help you reach the Top 8 quality premiums.

Like who was talking about Clohesy or Will Graham 3 weeks ago? Now suddenly everyone owns them and they will likely make 350K+ that we can inject into our teams.

I just reckon you should still chase top 8 quality value like Walsh, Petracca, Stewart, Green, English, Marshall etc. instead of waving the white flag early and making compromises with May/Adams type picks. If you do need to make a big compromise with Steven May down the track, do it when you actually have no funds - rather than anticipating you will have no funds.

That is just my 2 cents.

Appreciate your reply

Certainly not waving the white flag , just exploring different options , with available cash.

Hopefully I have worked out a plan to get Sicily & Stewart in over the next few rounds.

Now waiting to see what Petracca scores Wednesday night and seeing how that reflects his future price and projections v bringing in Walsh (or Dawson/Sicily) this round instead of waiting another 2 rounds for Green.

Sharp is the player that will be upgraded.

Think there was half a dozen or so rookie priced players named in the Emergencies last round so hopefully they will appear for downgrades , I don't track the VFL , SANFL or WAFL so no idea of what their scoring capabilities could be like

Just need Clohesy , Comben and Graham to increase in price as much as they can before they then need upgrading , so hopefully they keep performing for at least the next 5 rounds.

If I can get to Round 12 with those 3 onfield + Reid & Roberts requiring upgrading I will be pretty content.

Where do people rate Harley Reid in the pantheon of Forwards?
Currently (among Fwds on Footywire) he is..
12th on Total Pts
4th on 3-round average

Is he top 10 from here? If so he might still be a good trade at under $400K
There is always a risk that rookies run out of petrol tickets towards the back end of their first afl season, but equally Daicos and Sheezel certainly held it together in their first years and you have to put Reid in that class (albeit getting a few more bruises along the way compared to playing in a HB role).

Right now I'm treating him as my last upgrade, and hoping that somehow the premium forwards sort themselves out through injury providing opportunity or a lucky break DPP

Anyone considering Dawson as an upgrade target ahead of Walsh?

Back to 80% CBA's and his massive game might be the kickstart he needs, also saves you 40k on Walsh.

Both players have issues. Walsh it's the durability factor, Dawson score was without Crouch in the team. Dawson's season long trend has been almost totally down apart from this one game, and he didn't score that great second half of 2023 either.

The Crow mid who has really impressed me is Soligo.

Personally I'm willing to wait a week and pay a little more to see if he can back it up. He had a huge game vs the bombers and a lot of what he did looked super positive, but prior to that he looked very on the nose. BE of 73 means he probably won't go up heaps (a 105 score only sees him go up $15k) so it's not a pressing need this week - pay a $20k or so tax to see him show he's truly back.

I'm considering it - is it crazy to get Gawn in at this price? Allows me to swing Jackson back into the forwards.
No Gawn is killing my soul too but I’m thinking the smarter play is a $550k Marshall with round 15 bye rather than $700k Gawn with round 14 bye.
I’ll want Trac and Stewart in next few weeks too who also share round 14.
If Gawn is still the man then can grab him in round 15.
