Another update from someone else who was at Saints training today

"Steele - not the best he's ever looked but moved better as the session went on. Was very vocal in the drills, giving Phillipou constant feedback. Whatever is bothering him won't stop him from playing."

That trackwatcher's comment about him being one of the first to leave training and not looking too positive still has me worried.

So torn on what to do with him. The decision really needs to be made this round too, before he drops a ton of cash.
first leaving training and having trained fully is a bit of a contradiction no?

Just your typical track watchers then. :ROFLMAO:

Hard to take seriously without any credibility of the poster provided and thus why I never bother. Dig hard enough and eventually you will find what you are looking for (whatever that may be).

Steele trained fully... all set to trade him then I read that :rolleyes:
Has a good run next few weeks, tempting to side way to Green as this will be the cheapest he gets all year. Think i will hold Steele and just hope.

Cadman to make way via DPP to Green seems a better outcome long term.

Why can't someone train fully and be the first one to leave training without it being a contradiction?
Maybe he just trained really well, maybe he just wanted to get to the shops early enough to buy a bag of Tasty Toobs before they sold out.

I'm trading Steele (at possibly his highest price for the year) to Bont (at probably at his lowest price for the year).

If Steele suddenly looks like a gun again I'll consider bringing him back at a discount.

But he looked far from that last week and it just doesn't seem to be worth the risk to hold.

Same, also think I'll bring in Rankine. Thoughts on him @Juzzo
I nearly brought him in a couple week's ago, instead I took Zorko, probably a mistake. Rankine looked like an ok starting pick as he was pegged for more mid time, and i thought a 95 av could be possible, atm he is averaging 93ish. If he is not getting an adequate time in the guts he needs goals to balance out his scoring. It looks like Dawson, Laird, Crouch and Soligo are the preferred options. Pretty much full-time forward last week and he won't kick 4 goals all the time. But he is such a good player to watch, so i would say not a bad option under 500k, given the slim pickings up forward this year. Only 30k over starting price.

It depends on the player. Steele has previously had a rep as being one of the last to leave the track. Being one of the first might be some sort of indication, or we might be jumping at shadows. He's out for me.
