Is this possible?

I traded Cadman out for Sweet, Livingston went forward. I'm trying to "update my trade" effectively to shuffle my DPPs to get Reid back into the forward line (Reid forward, Sexton back, Graham mid).

Is this possible? I remember doing some kind of trade sorcery last season.

Anyone know the trade tricks i am alluding to?

Do you have a trade spare? If so, select a player to trade out, move your DPPs around and then trade in a non playing player. Once completed, trade the non playing player back to the one your originally traded out.

I still have a spare trade. And the trade 'undoes' itself, once the original player is traded back in?

Thank you.

Powell to Fyfe thoughts and feelings? Team looks pretty great after moves.

Cadman/Powell/Williams > Sweet/Fyfe/Dale

Cash is there for Roberts to Zerrett next week which I'm eyeing off big time.

Yep so when you completed the first part (trading out the player) you'll show as having used a trade, but when you then trade the player you traded in back out for the original player, you'll get that trade back.

For example, if you have 25 trades, and you trade out Player A, move your DPPs, and trade in player B, you will have 24 trades left. But then when you trade Player B back to Player A, you'll have 25 trades again.

Current team after using one trade to bring in Sweet for Brown (Richmond) via Comben.

View attachment 72418

$189k ITB which actually limits my upgrade options more than I thought.

Basically has to be either Comben (BE 55) up to say a Dale. If I want to go the premo option, I'd need to cull Powell or Grundy. Was intially thinking to hold Powell one more week given the outs for North, and happy to hold Grundy at R2...but now not so sure.

Comben to Dale seems like the most logical choice here - are there any other obvious upgrades I'm missing here?
You will prob find Roberts is maxed out next round with the 117 to come out so there's also him you can trade this round if there is a premium with a low BE then that will contra the missed Roberts cash. That gets you to $600K which could get you Miller or Dunkley for example.

Was originally going to go with
Marshall -> Sweet
Sharp -> Dawson
Dempsey -> Dale

Doing these trades was going to lock all of them in last night, after last weeks shenanigans with Petracca, I wasn't taking my chances again. Wasn't ready to commit to Dawson and Dale whilst being unable to undo the Marshall trade if for whatever reason I needed to.

Now I think I'm going with
Marshall -> Sweet
Dempsey -> Serong
Steele -> Merrett

Feels a bit sideways but you can argue i'm upgrading two obviously injured players to top of the line premiums, could go Green as well but doesn't suit my bye structure. I'd rather get out of Steele now whilst he's made money than have him plus LDU as fake premiums until the byes, if I had Dawson that would be a real disaster.

Am also considering Sharp -> Reid, but If I'm going to make up ground on everyone it's not by getting Reid. Potentially is a keeper but more than likely gets managed again and slows down as the season goes on.

Mate, thank you for your time and effort. Worked to perfection. Appreciate it.

I like what I saw out of Rogers last week, I think his JS is fairly solid. I'm boosting to bring in both he and Garcia but I do have more cash gen slots than others so need to flip those to upgrade a third slot. If you look at previous years getting a rookie like Rogers at this time of season would be heaven sent. Default play for most teams should be to get him in especially with the near-ton in his scoring. He's a great rookie 2 months into the season.
Was he subbed off in the first game?

Not subbed. You aint going to get the perfect rookie in rd 8 though. Very much looked the part in his second game even if he wasn't good on his debut.
Thanks man, your feedback is gold. Still trying to work out what I do after stuff up last night with Sweet. Life and Supercoach don't mix sometimes.

Trying to work out if I can still get Green in - would probably require a trade of Powell... 2 boosts, could use one to bring in Rogers, Garcia... and possibly Powell to Green.

Then there are the riskier options of Moore (fwd line is a raffle - better than a rookie and makes cash), or hoping Parish has found his mojo.

I reckon the stat to look at (backed up by eye test) is score involvements for Rogers, 8 of them last week yet he only kicked one goal. Teams are looking for players who can deliver into the forward line efficiently. Look at the Blues vs Cats last week: Blues crushed the Cats in the midfield/overall possession count, but had 45% DE in the forward 50 compared to the Cats 62%. That's why the Blues lost that game. They miss Docherty.

That's why I say I reckon Rogers JS is pretty good: his kicking and decision making unlocks the Suns forward line and elevates those players for the Suns, or at least did against a very competitive Eagles team.

I made a couple of borderline trades this week, whether they work in the long run, only time will tell.

Out - Grundy & McInnes
In - Sweet and Dawson

Anyone else considering bringing in Moore this week to plug a hole in the forward lines. I haven’t watched any games - how is his role going forward? Hawks fans, anyone?
