When I was emailing the guy at Sportsdeck my information I asked him what happened and he said that first place was from overseas. I guess anyone can choose a state but that doesn’t make you eligible if you aren’t physically in the country!
Has 1st place been in the money previously? Might seek retrospective cash. 😁

Natarajan 35

Narine 56 x2

Interesting to see what direction RCB take , Flower has already come out saying they need to find "smarter" bowlers to bowl at Chinnaswamy.

Always seem reluctant to play 2 OS bowlers though.

Do they move du Plessis (now 39) on and try and find a local opener to partner with Kohli ?

Maxwell had a shocker 52 runs @ 5.77 , especially considering Jacks success.

Patidar settling in @ 4

Karthik retiring possibly opens up a local opener/WK in the auction.

Wonder how serious the argument was between Rahul and the LUC owner , played for RCB in 2013 & 2016.

Although both he & Kohli get criticised for slow SR.

Paddikal is another interesting one , career has stalled since he left RCB.

IPL 2025

Depending on what happens in the mega auction these overseas players DNP this year but averaged 40 + in 2023

Wood , M 91.25 (4 games)

Conway 54.86 (14 games) was $ 752,500.00

Willey 48 (4 games , with RCB) was $ 526,800.00

Zampa 43.33 (6 games) was $ 594,400.00

Hasaranga 42.88 (8 games , with RCB) was $ 588,200.00

Mayers 41.25 (12 games) was $ 565,900.00

Behrendorff 40.70 (10 games) was $ 558,300.00

Theoretically if they are picked up/retained they should receive a discount on this year's starting price.

If fit , Shame should be the biggest starting local lock in our teams, was $ 828,00.00 Averaged 60.36 in 2023.

Who else might offer starting value when we compare 2024 Averages to 2023 Averages

Bison dropped 34.22 points on average (68.22 to 34.00)

QDK dropped 30.75 points (61.75 to 31.00)

Jaiswal dropped 28.55 points (65.79 to 37.23) will they get his price right ?

Umran Malik dropped 28.25 points - does he move teams for a better opportunity ?

Hetmyer dropped 28.04 points (43.64 to 15.60)

Rashid Khan:eek: dropped 25.57 points (72.57 to 47.00)

du Plessis dropped 23.29 points (70.79 to 47.50) does he play on ?

Paddikal dropped 22.84 points (36.27 to 13.43) does he go back to RCB ?

Boult dropped 21.64 points (54.10 to 32.46 points)

Rinku Singh dropped 20.18 points (51.43 points to 31.25)

Now we wait

Think the biggest thing to wait for is going to be to see whether BCCI stick with the Impact Player rule. There's definitely a case to suggest it would affect development of players, especially all rounders.

To that end, here's a different list of players who might benefit if the rule is removed:
Parag (the third highest scorer in the tournament, bowled 1 over all season! For his state in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, bowled 3-4 overs every game)
Abhishek Sharma (matchup heavy, but capable of a key bowling role in the right conditions as per the semi final)
Nitish Reddy (my pick for breakout player of the tournament - yes, even ahead of JFM! Got 7.1 overs for 3 wickets, so still plenty of scope to improve - fast bowling allrounders don't grow on trees!)
Even guys like Green, Stoinis and Maxwell probably find themselves getting more overs in this case - the latter in particular has bowled very well even as his batting has slumped.
Ravindra and Mitchell also only bowled two overs each which was a massive surprise given the team they're in. Part of the appeal of picking Ravindra in the first place was the thought that he might be used to get through some cheap overs.
And finally, I'm sorry to everyone I convinced to jump on Omarzai, but I still believe. He's gonna be a gun.

I recall reading somewhere that the 3 that is was hampering their development for Team India was Dube , Parag and I think from memory Rinku Singh as they were not getting enough opportunities to bowl consistently/regularly.
