Simpkin barely scored over 70 before his last score, which was a big one. Was there some clear role change? Looks like a 'blue moon' special, to me.
My take (and I could be wrong) was that he was involved in a lot more stoppages around the ground as well as having a season high of 65% CBA's. A notable difference however to the earlier games was very little time spent forward with Powell and Sheezel rotating through the forwards instead.

2) I've seen some people say they can use DPP to effectively cover all lines with a single 23rd premo. I'm guessing this is through having active DEF/FWD, MID/FWD, RUC/FWD loops, but can someone help me understand this? Maybe there's a world where if I get Fisher this week that then helps me get that sort of coverage.
My understanding is that you set up your team like :
DEF : Def/Fwd rookie
MID : Mid/Fwd 23rd premo
RUC : Ruc/Fwd rookie
FWD : Def/Fwd premo (eg Fisher), Ruc/Fwd premo (eg Jackson), Mid/Fwd rookie

then if you have a premo out in any line you can:
DEF is out then swap Fisher back and swap premo fwd to cover for Fisher.
MID is out then premo is already there as cover
FWD is out then swap premo fwd.
RUC is out then swap Jackson to ruc and swap 23rd premo fwd to cover for Jackson.

Hope that makes sense. Someone may have a better system.

Makes perfect sense, thanks! So tweaking for my current predicament, where I may end up with Fisher in Def, it would be basically the same except for the def/fwd rookie at F8

2 last quarter goals probably helped in a tight game.
kicked the first of the 4th and second last goal to give North the lead deep into the last from what I can see.
Yeah, I'm not sure that he won't turn into fools gold before too long?

Surprised how many are picking Krueger when they have Livingstone. No need for two R/F donuts.
Its him or McMullin for me, and given he plays before McMullin, I'm thinking I take Kreuger if not named the sub.
Depends on how the scores are rolling out, but with only 18 this week can't have someone being the sub!

Done the following trades after thinking I’d do none

Frejia to Kreuger
Oliver to Neale

Not a full upgrade but don’t think Oliver will go bang even without Trac and Neale looks for a big finish to the season.

Leaves 7 trades to bring in Rankine

Some of us need warm bodies onfield just to make 18 or complete our desired trades, other then Dowling who most would be trading in first the cupboard is bare.
Understand the desire for a warm body. Might be better copping the donut.
Can you slingshot a bad keeper not playing?
Still a big Hail Mary but Schoenmakers VFL numbers are very good.
