Had Clark all year. Very skilled player. I like him. With all the usual caveats with rookies.

Thank you - at the moment I have Arie (looks good but in the bye) and El Hawkins (DM floating donut) coming in and it gives me 148.6k cash with a completed team, 5 trades and Comben as my best cover.

I could spend an extra 100-120k and add Clark, who adds playing cover (Bruhn is injured) but is not DPP, and my next trade in may have less cash at hand to make use of.

Could be a tricky call, and unfortunately one that needs to be made tonight!

I’m currently leaning to avoiding the Geelong/Carlton options to buy a bit more time to think it through.

DPP and/or JS are at a premium at this point!

Is Worner someone who will actually defend, and so may have better than expected JS (noting Longmuir’s comments about his defenders stat padding last week)?

It's hard to know where they rate him internally but I've been impressed with him. He finds a lot of ball, makes good decisions when he gets it and is good on the defensive side of things. Many teams, including mine, probably can't pick him though.

Personally I would go completing your team. This is the business end of getting into finals. It does give some sense of satisfaction finishing you team after travelling for a few months.

Probably more about JS than price gain at this stage, but not sure which way to lean

With a couple of extra trades up my sleeve there is an argument that I could risk him, but at the same time, with 20 >21 playing this week there's an argument I could leave him.

I still need downgrade targets though - is the Shoemaker a better long term proposition despite not playing this week?

Not quite sure he has that much value…would want to be the best player in the comp and he clearly isn’t that …
