Not sure if I like that. The sixers are just such a stacked team, doubt he'll bat high enough and might not even get all his overs.
Think he will be even more lethal at the SCG (if the whispers are true) , batting points would be a bonus , gather Edwards would be @ 6 , Kerr needs to slot back in + Abbott so he could be a 8 or 9.

Was in a article I read about Curran somewhere where he mentioned they (Sixers) were aiming for a premium OS spinner.

The Thunder have confirmed the 37-year-old will be available for their entire BBL|14 campaign beginning against Adelaide Strikers in Canberra on December 17, before again linking with Dubai Capitals in the UAE T20 league.

He'll also feature in commentary across the summer after joining the Fox Cricket team last year.

Ollie Pope confirmed by the Strikers

Interesting choice 🤔

Wonder if they get him to keep instead of Nielsen

54 x T20 matches , Ave 30.73 , SR 134.17

4 x 50's
13 x 30's

as per Big Bash Board

3rd Test between New Zealand and England is scheduled to end December 18

Yeah, they certainly aren't short (no pun intended) of outright batters:

Short
Short
Wetherald
Carey
Ross
Lynn
Pope
Head(?)

Carey & Head will be lucky to play 2-3 games before they go to Sri Lanka.

Be interesting where Weatherald fits in

Short , Short , Lynn , Pope , Weatherald , Ross.

Depending on what they do in the Draft they could go 5 specialist bowlers and use Pope as the keeper.

If they retain Overton , he hasn't been cleared to bowl yet.

Boyce and Lloyd Pope + 3 quicks

Interesting to see how they work it

Based off last year, will most teams only take 1 player in the draft? Fox won't be happy!

Probably :)

Is it even compulsory that they pick anyone ? Scorchers and Sixers could both easily field a 10 local + 1 OS side.

This was from article I read in May

New this year, clubs will be able to draft up to four players (previously a maximum of three), thereby selecting in all four rounds of the draft

One of the four would be considered an overseas replacement player if one of their three primary international players is unavailable for a period of the tournament.

Clubs will still be required to make at least two picks during the draft.

Cummins has already stated he won't be available in the "window" between the end of the Sydney Test and departure for Sri Lanka so I doubt CA will allow Hazlewood , Lyon , Marsh & Starc to play either.

Green didn't even have a BBL contract last season so he will (probably) be another that won't feature

Hasn't played white ball cricket for England (yet) so should theoretically be no more that $ 125k (not sure they think like that though when doing prices) , DPP would spike my interest (round 1 possible donut ) if he was guaranteed to play on December 20th (Hamilton to Adelaide should be doable in a day)

Pope & Pope in our SC sides , my as well add a Short & Short as well :)
