Final team. My bench smashed their BEs which bodes well. Went in with 7 on the double this round and after trades will have at least 7 next round. Apart from Short im pretty happy with the team. Hoping captain JFM can add another 50 (100) tomorrow night but i feel like there will be less pressure now that everyone that took Curran got a total of 104 (208).

I was really regretting that wrong VC choice but Curran didnt make me pay. One change i wish i made was Wildermuth > Bazley once Bazley was named as i ended up pivoting to Wood which was really a one round play given his lack of job security. Glad he beat his BE by a fair margin though and ill go to Bazley for next round.

Overall, im feeling pretty positive about my team. Hoping Short smashes it on Friday night as he will be my VC. Dorff & Bazley are definite ins and then the 3rd player is yet to be decided. I dont think ill boost...

First time seeing Bazley as a potential trade in and it has to be crazy right? Bowled one over and won’t always bat that well. Bad job security too

3/736 Curran (12 SI), Zampa dropping out.

Missed the game tonight but saw the Allen injury, absolutely devastated for him not just because he's on my bench but I was really excited to watch him this year. It's been mentioned above already but first reaction is Matt Short's role instantly improves now, will have to see if/who and how soon they get a replacement but almost seems I'll have to squeeze him in. Allen also played a massive role in my decision to fade Short, particularly annoying as he's quite low owned.
8/924 Curran (18 SI), Zampa dropping out

Genuinely one of the worst games I've ever watched. Seifert, Rogers, O'Neill and Zampa to come.

Ecstatic with all SGW players scoring above 60. Initially had Allen and Thornton parked for next round but deciding yesterday to grab both Seifert and Sutherland meant dropping a Striker down to a Heat player (Renshaw). Chose to drop Thornton and grab him next round whilst parking Allen on my bench. Now means a max of 7 doubles for next round if I use a boost. Not many Short avenues I like, so Connolly, Benhrendorff, Thornton and ? to join Overton, Richardson and Tye.
8/1006
Rogers, Seifert and Sutherland still to come with 35 more points needed by Zampa to knock McKenzie out of my scoring 11. Finally joined the Harper party this season after missing out last season. Would have much preferred the sequencing of his scores to be around the other way so that I could bank after his first game but hopefully Seifert can put a large enough gap in to warrant the extra investment. Curran very disappointing in his second match as captain but thankfully started with a ton. Renshaw parked on the bench for the RD3 double with Bartlett a close watch between now and then.

Rowsus: 8/997 (Sutherland) - Sutherland x 2, Seifert, O'Neill to come. Philippe 25 removed. 15 SI = 66/SI
If I'm very lucky, I can crack 1,200. More likely 1,150-1,170. Good start. :)

Wife: 7/883 (Stoinis) - Sutherland, Evans, Rogers, Zampa to come. Philippe 25 removed. 15 SI = 59/SI
Hoping for 1,100, but it will need luck!!!

814/6 (C) Rogers.

Might escape with a decent RD1 Score if the my Captain can put together a Man of the Match performance.

Got Lucky with Curren having a quiet night. But Allen doing the hammy, Clark on the bench and Wildermuth not starting, my team structure is a mess.

Batters dominating RD1.

Curran 100 & 4

Runs 40 points
SR 25 points
Wickets 20 points
DB 10 points
ER 10 points
EC -1

During the first game commentator mentioned his batting has improved dramatically but his bowling has dropped off

See what happens against the Strikers but is he a trade out option in Round 3 (even on a DGR).given what other premiums share that DGR ?
I think Webster before Curren.

You have to question the team line up from the stars. Good Grief 7 bowlers used last night. Crouch selected as a bowler and only gets 1. Madness.

I agree with this. Curran’s role looks good, whereas Webster’s looks pretty dodgy if his bowling is inconsistent or selective.

I think Curran could perform a lot better when the Stars bowl first (which hasn’t happened yet). That’s when the easy wickets tend to be on offer for the death over bowlers. He averages 1.3 wickets when bowling first, and only 0.9 when bowling second.

He should add somewhere in the order of 10 extra points from dot balls as well (5ppg verses what he has delivered so far).

It would help if his teammates could put a bit more pressure on the opposition, which is probably a risk (versus his years at the Sixers, say).

913 with Seifert, Zampa and Fergus to go.

A poor start in comparison to others a a reminder of the fickle nature of BBL, with plenty of points left on the table.

Gambled on Khan over Sutho, liking the role more (which was correct - batting higher, and bowling more). Thought there’s no way ECB allow young Bethell to play 48 hours after a test series in another country. But disregarding the gades post, silly decision making there.

Took Tye on field over Jhye, with injury worries being the main factor. Meant I fielded Tye over Edwards.

Bounce back coming round 2!

Want to know what Zampa and Fergus owners are doing, because without big cash banked. Could mean no Short. But there’s also some good value options from Perth and Adelaide

what do you reckon would be more beneificial; switching Clarke to Harper freeing up cash to get Dorff/Bartlett etc or switching Clarke to Philliphe/Inglis and having to keep in the likes of Zampa etc
