mhmm really? I've not always paid attention to the captaincy decisions made in t20. My perception was always that there is very little in it, as in most situations, everyone tends to do the same thing with the players they have outside the circle etc. But I think as a viewer, you get very limited knowledge of these decisions as you can't see the whole field. Only on the rare occasion when I see teams need to squeeze but they play it a little too safe and let the singles go instead of trying to create pressure.
Unfortunately few of the commentators go into the tactical side of games and explain it , Ponting is awesome.
I actually like Hodge.
Just from watching I would have Henriques , Turner & Warner ahead of most.
Always thought Turner would have made a excellent Australian T20I captain.
I guess a lot of match ups , who bowls which overs and when is set out in pre game meetings and then the good captain's adjust to game circumstance/situation.
Even things like where the pitch is placed , shorter side v bigger side , wind direction etc need to come into it
