Perhaps keep an eye on the toss - he scores more runs, and faster, batting first … one of the bigger discrepancies of all the players I’ve seen:

You'll be playing with the bare XI (if Thornton remains out) with those set of trades and only the one Hurricanes.
There's a Charlie Wakim ($44,100) available if you have a spare 5k ITB.
He allows me to do this for my team.

Yeah I've already come to terms with the fact that I'll be running with at least one of them missing. Still trying to figure out the best way to zag, but it won't be by bringing them both in.

I am sure you have been tracking teams around you.

The majority have Short... Smith is a little rarer, but he'd be pretty high on the list of bring-ins I think.

Long way out but if that Friday game (Round 9) has weather concerns that could cause issues for Smith (and other Sixers and Thunder players that people own) , possible look at them as E's

Depending on how everyone is set up they might need to rely on fielding more Hurricanes than they like.

Obviously a lot harder sitting in your position , half the margin this round between the leader and yourself , then go into Round 9 still with a fighting chance

Thinking this:

Stoinis, Brown and a little reluctantly Johnson to David, Smith and Wade.

Leaves my only somewhat definite donut as Doran so Vc is Warner tonight and C David, who I would feel more comfortable as VC.

Just seen Doran in the squad for tomorrow, but I still have a donut in that game with Richardson.

Would have rather traded Richo out but couldn't get a third trade that I liked when I tried to make that work.

I'm going VC Cane into Short, so I can E Warner. But looking at the stats, plenty are VCing Warner and he is in great form, so there is a lot of validity in that option too.

Without a clear-cut cane option, I'm thinking I'll go option 2 - Plus Adelaide is pretty much a road, so SURELY whichever one picked in that game can go well...

I think the second option (which is what I’m doing). Warner would have to go huge to take his score. You give yourself more upside with the second alternative.
