Hey bloke,
it depends on how far off you are completing your team. If you are struggling to achieve that, take Hurn, if it is on track take Bartel. He will in all likelihood outscore Hurn from here, and play more games.
Well, before this week, I've got 2 MIDs and 2 backs (if you take Langdon as a keeper and Grimes as a must trade). Is that still far off? I feel more comfortably taking Bartel but need cash to still get Pendlebury

Hi mate, just wondering is this a completely stupid idea. :)

Planning to trade in Nick Riewoldt next week even though I already have 6 guys that I consider to be my six FWD's for the year??
If I did this I would be able to move one of my DPP's into the midfield for Lewis Taylor whilst I still have him and play the 5 + Riewoldt in the forward line. Once I eventually get rid of Lewis Taylor I would then probably bring in a FD MID/FWD to allow me to either loophole one of my 7 forwards (say NRoo and Zorko for example) or place one of my premium MID/FWD DPP's ion the midfield etc.

My thinking is that NRoo is relatively cheap, and I'm not 100% sold on my FWD line in consistency terms.

Anyway just one of my options that I have been thinking recently so thought I'd see what you and others thought.

Cheers Goodie :D

Which do you prefer Row?
1st option probably makes more sense, 2nd option get another prem mid keeper.
Only worried about climbing rankings, not league wins.

OUT Kelly ($334,000) IN Griffen ($498,800)
OUT Ambrose ($186,700) IN Cameron ($122,400)
OUT Cutler ($224,300) IN Litherland ($125,900)

OUT Petrie ($378,700) IN Cameron ($122,400)
OUT Kelly ($334,000) IN Griffen ($498,800)
OUT Dunn ($416,900) IN Selwood ($549,500)

Thanks mate
The 2nd one really only has 2 half upgrades. I prefer the first one, but with Bews instead of Litherland. Neither have great JS, but Bews will outscore Litherland just about every week.

Hi mate, just a quick who would you rather for next week..

Watson and Hanley
OR
Steven and Bartel

Thanks
Hi Mike,
I'm sure we'd both prefer Watson and Bartel, but given the choices, I'll go Watson Hanley. There's still a question mark over Steven, despite his score last week.

It's 4.5 left to fill, probably a little far off. Maybe go with Hurn.

Hi GG,
it's a perfectly reasonable plan. We know NRoo has the ability to be one of the few Forwards that can score consistently 100+, and he's below $400k. Where else can you get a guy that might throw up 100+ scores for that price? Loopholing him, or others given how inconsistent the Forwrds are this year is the right thing to do.

Oops, posted on another thread. Please let me know what u think of my query below. Thanks in advance.

Hi rowsus, looking to finalise my midfield with a non rd 10 bye player. Yr choice from NDS, Libba, Ward or outsiders, Priddis, Sloane, R Grey? No budget restrictions but always looking for value! My order is Libba (ceiling), NDS (consistent and draw), Sloane (consistent)? Yr thoughts. I already have selwood, gaj, pendles, beams, murphy, cotch (Watson bye) but no swan. Thoughts or alternatives? Thanks again!

Hey Rowsus

What are your thoughts on bringing in Dan Hannebery over the next couple weeks? Sydney look to be hitting their stride and I have a good feeling this'll be his breakout year and he could score 115+ for the remainder of it. Would he be a good option at around 590k? Would be a great POD on the top 1000 too.

Look forward to hearing your reply and thanks in advance

Yep spot on id love to get them both. The other option is to trade Langdon instead of Langford but i dont particularly want to do that. Or wait a few weeks for Langford to rise / Bartel to drop a combined $100k but then i might miss out on points in the meantime.

Hi ****,
congratulations on how well you are doing so far this year.
To me it is a 3 way choice between Libba, NDS and Swan.
Swan has the history, and despite him looking a little sluggish this year, he has a pretty easy draw coming up: WC, StK, Melb, WB, Haw, Carl, GC, Ess, Ade.
Dal has the consistency factor. He won't often go large like last weeks 140, but he won't often let you down either. It feels like banking a safe 112-114 each week.
Libba has the WOW factor. He can score 150+'s on 27-28 possessions, because his clearance, CP's and tackles are high. (or is that only against Melbourne?!). He can go quiet on you too, and string a couple of 80-90's together.
Dal is currently only in 5% of teams, and the other 2 in 14% of teams. He is also the safest option for banking points. I'll say Dal. Or if you want to be really cheeky, and you have the trades, take Swan, then in round 14 swap him to Dal!

Hey MrM,
SC Gold certainly like him, and expect him to score at 122 for the rest of season! They've got it right before, most notably with Beams in 2012. I'm not sure I rate him that highly. He's only in 3% of teams, so he's certainly a POD. If you want/need to create a POD, there are a lot worse options. I think his best might be around 110-112 from here, which still isn't too bad.

I think I'd keep Langdon until he gives more indication that he should be traded out.

Hey Slammer,
I don't think it was a wasted trade, in the long term it will pay off.
The biggest problem I see at the moment is Laidler. With no obvious downgrade target, it seems you either need to upgrade him (to Bartel?), or trade him down to the cheapest dead weight you can (Hunt? so you can swing him up to your midline later for loopholing), and live with only 7 live prospects in your Def line. That is risky, but you have some depth in your Def JS.
So to me, it looks like:
JKH/Laidler ---> Bartel/Cameron - cost $72,200 OR
JKH/Laidler ---> Gray R/Hunt - cost $89,200
Good luck, I hope you continue your climb up the ladder. :)
+1

Cameron looked great last week, although in a winning side..
This would complete your backline this week, and allows the one-up-one-down Langford/Taylor/Buckley/Lloyd upgrades in the coming weeks to finish off your team, hopefully keeping Langdon as M9/D7 swingman and the possibility of upgrading Higgins at F6 and Jaensch at D6..
Thanks guys.
Only other option in mind was take Hurn instead of Bartel.
Reckon Hurn has room to move at his price where Bartel will more than likely drop
in price. Concern is will Hurn stay on the park

Hey Row,

Last one for this weekend..do you think its a bad move to sideways trade Swan to another premo? Ward, NDS, Sloane etc

He just isnt looking like the Swan of old. He is down in just about every stat with these 3 the most worrying:

-5.3 disposals per game
-3.2 CPs per game
-2.0 clearances per game

Of course he is a superstar and can turn it around, but it appears he is spending a bit less time in the middle now and more time forward with some of their rotations (Blair, Elliott etc)

Besides that Anzac day match its not like he is kicking goals to compensate for that.

Like to hear your thoughts.

North Melb.
My original plan was to trade Suckling to Hurn this week.
But I am not so sold on Hurn's durability.
Am I crazy to consider Jaensch as an option at $397k?
In my opinion, he will not be tagged. This is based on the fact that teams haven't tagged him yet, and I also believe that Brodie Smith is more likely to be tagged by opposition than him.
Do you think with his role this year that he will continue to post 95+ scores and be a value pick?

Hi Rowsus,

Just wondering whether you see any merit in trading sandi for mumford. Thinking it could be a positive 'pod' move and could help me improve my ranking of 174.
