Hi Juzzo,
seeing as you only have 5 trades left, and you have Martin for cover, Cox to NicNat appears to be way too much of a luxury trade now. I would save yourself future pain and keep that trade up your sleeve.
Mackie seems like a bit of strange choice, too. He's a Mid 80's player that started the season well, and before his last game, his previous 5 only averaged 79. I'd much prefer to see you go with a Birchall/Hibberd/Hurn type with a better history of scoring consistently higher than Mackie.
Good luck :)
Thanks mate:)

Gday Rowsus, thanks for your help during the season so far, it's been much appreciated.
I'd like your opinion on who to get for my D6.

Am upgrading Litherland and have narrowed it down to four possibilities for my D6...

Hurn...... $484,100 (8 games @91.88) last3games 114.33

Shaw..... $468,700 (11games @93.36) last3games 110.33

Birchall... $464,500 (12games @91.50) last3games 94.33

Burgoyne $453,700 (12games @97.58) last3games 81.33

Pricewise and for total average I like Burgoyne, but his last 3 weeks include two scores in the 70's and hasn't tonned up since Rd 7.
Hurn's interesting as ALL of his big scores have been at Patersons. WCE have 5 of their 10 to play there. Most expensive of the four.
Birchall has been consistent, Shaw can go big but both have burnt me in the past although I'm thinking my choice may be one of these two.

Thanks again Rowsus, good luck for the rest of your season :)

Hi braider,
my order on those 4 would be: Birchall, Hurn, Shaw, Burgoyne.
Burgoyne was a good mid way back in the day, but Hawthorn use him in just so many different roles that his scoring will never be consistent. We're pretty sure of what role Birchall will play. I'm a bit wary of Hurn, he either goes on with it, and averages 95-100 from here, gets injured again, or drops back a little. Having said that, I like him enough to make him 2nd pick. Shaw, you just never know which Heater will turn up on the day, he too is a bit too inconsistent.
Good luck, I hope you get some runs on the board. :)

Thanks Rowsus, am leaning towards Birchall myself. Money is a big big issue for my team and Burgoyne was my tilt until I compared the figures and think Birchall's consistency wins out. The last thing I need is an injury from Hurn or a brain fade or something ridiculous from Heater so I think this choice suits my team's needs best. :) Thanks mate.

Massive match up this week between us :) what does ramps say the result will be ?
RAMP had me winning by a small margin, with both Simpson and Petrie on 103, and LeCras on 92.
I can't Simpson quite reaching those heights now though! :p

Hi Rowsus,

7 trades left and 380k, with 2 upgrades left (Gardiner and Shenton to DEF and MID premiums, moving Suckers and Higgins via MPP to the bench.)

Would I be better off trying to do these 2 upgrades in 2 trades and therefore get the likes of Stevie J and Enright (who I can loophole)?

Or just trade O'brien as well in a few weeks time, using an extra trade, but bringing in maybe Birch/Barlow or even Bartel/Mcveigh/Rocky/JPK?

Hey Rowsus, my final midfield upgrade is between: Dion Prestia v Matt Priddis v Rory Sloane v Kieren Jack v Nick Dal Santo

Prestia

- averaging 113
- only one score below 90
- no risk of a tag
- unproven though

Priddis

- averaging 110
- only two scores below 90
- average of 125 over last five rounds
- proven over time (previous season averages of 114, 110, 109)

Sloane

- averaging 111
- only two scores below 100
- previously averaged 107 and 106 in seasons

Jack

- averaging 106
- only two scores below 90
- more risk of tag with Hannebery out?
- playing forward quite a bit
- previously averaged 112 and 109 over seasons

Dal Santo

- averaging 109
- 3 scores below 90
- regularly tagged
- playing more of a half-back role
- will wells return affect scoring/role?
- proven (previously averaged 124, 119, 117, 116, 116, 113 over seasons)

Would you be able to rank these players in order of your estimated output for the rest of the year? Thanks in advance! :)

Just would like to say Thanks a heap for all your advice Rowsus.

I have ended up taking your advice and used it on most occasions and it has been gold!

I haven't got many trades left, but my team is set for a while now... I did what you said and got Fyfe and SMartin in and now I got cover on almost every line. Posted a pretty good score last week... and hit top spot in my league.

So thanks a lot Rowsus... Only one last trade to go... and I HOPE that I can bring in Harvey for SMartin in 4-5 weeks time in time for finals. Hoping the injury god will be kind to me this year.

Thanks again Rowsus... YOu and this site have been my savior this year.

Hi Rowsus,
This is my first post in this thread but I've been reading it since the pages were in single digits... now up to 120 pages!... been fantastic reading and I really appreciate all the hard work you've put in to answer everyone's questions.
My question is about my final upgrade in the MIDS. I am playing strictly for a league win.

Here is my team:
DEF Swallow, Simpson, Bartel, Birchall, Jaensch & Enright (Gardiner-Tippet)
MID GAZ, Pendles, Beams, Fyfe, Selwood, NDS, Cotchin & Shenton (O'Brien-Acres)
RUCK Sandi & Goldstein (Currie-King)
FWD Danger, Martin, Parker, Buddy, Rough & Pav (Ambrose-Spina)

I currently have 7 trades and 359k to work with.

I was planning to upgrade Acres to SJ but his poor form has me seriously reconsidering.
I could upgrade Shenton instead for any MID under 677k but I'd like to keep him as bench cover for MID/FWD
I'm thinking maybe I should trade Ambrose to Kersten to get more coin and then I could upgrade Acres to any MID.

So...
a) Acres to SJ... 6 trades and pretty much zero cash
b) Shenton to any MID under 677k... (probably Sloane or K.Jack)... 6 trades and little cash
c) Downgrade Ambrose to Kersten and upgrade Acres to any MID... 5 trades, if I get Sloane or K.Jack I'd have over 100k remaining... or should I go real premium in JPK/Libba/Rockliff and have no cash?

What do you think? Appreciate opinions from any posters.
Thanks Rowsus

Hi Rowan,

Posted this in round 15 trades but would really like your opinion thanks .

"Dane Swan...............................
Keep or trade out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or if you don't have him yet trade in?????

I traded him in after 143 against Essendon, he was a bargain @ 550,600 surely he had returned to form now and was too cheap too ignore.

since then he has been consistent between 76 and 93 (avge 85.7) and his price is now 466,200 be 110.

What are all the other Swan owners doing?

Can you consider your team as "complete" with Swan at M7 or 8? "

Hey Rowsus,
Wouldn't mind seeing a trade table this week or just your thoughts on both HBennell or Greenwood if you have the time?
Considering them both as my very high risk/reward M8 over someone like Barlow, SJ or NDS.

Rowsus,

Which ruck do you think will have the best finish to the year (via. your wonderful RAMP)?

I have Sandi and Lobbe and am contemplating a luxury sideways trade from Lobbe to Sauce / Goldy / Nic Nat.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Rowsus, would you recommend trading Griffen to Parker with one trade or Griffen to Fyfe by downgrading Ambrose? Have 7 trades left, do you think Parker can finish the year strongly? With the extra cash from Ambrose, I could upgrade under performers like Swan, Enright, Burgoyne
