Hi Rowsus,

I have 5 trades left
with $109,800 cash in the bank.

Not sure what to do with Gaz.. Am thinking Stevie J and McGovern to R.Gray?
or should I try get Rocky next week..

Only playing for league wins and need to win all my remaining games to make the 8.

I also will upgrade Enright to Mitchell soon.

What are your thoughts?

DEF: Swallow, Simpson, Bartel, Hanley, McVeigh, Enright (Georgiou, Bews)
MID: Ablett, Pendles, Ward, Selwood, Goddard, Fyfe, Cotchin, Beams (Shenton, JHunt)
RUCK: Sandlilands, Mumford (Brown, King)
FWD: Boomer, D.Martin, S.Martin, Dangerfield, Pavlich, Parker (Honeychurch, McGovern)

Hi maken7,
nice looking team. :)
I think i'd definitely go the SJ/Gray route. With your M/F rookies, you can do some really useful loopholing!
Good luck :)

Hey Rowsus what are you thoughts on Swan? Only have three trades left after Ablett but have the coin to trade him to Libba. Worth it? Swans been simply terrible.

Hi Rowsus, I was wondering if you were able to give me a rough estimate of what price sam mitchell would be next week and his B/E. Much appreciated.

Hey rowsus thoughts on Parker/nds/Harvey as ablett replacement? Easy draw ahead for north and it opens up dpp links, I can also switch my m/f donut to mid. Also, I feel like trading sandi this week before he goes sub 500k, who should I get? Maric nic nat or Goldstein, leaning towards goldy atm

Hey ZP,
He's disappointing, that's for sure. Having said that, a sideways trade like that should only be considered if you have at least half decent cover on the bench. If you don't, you are best to build your coverage first, and then hopefully use Swan from M9. Then as a last resort, you can rage trade Swan out.
Good luck :)

Hi Tamu,
S Mitchell $448,700 B/E 182
after scoring 103 tonight, he should be something around:
$413,900 B/E 69
BARGAIN! :)

Hey Pro,
I think I would go Gray before I went Parker/Boomer (look back a page or two, and you'll see my reasoning with freowho). Of those 3, as far as highest scorer goes, I think I'd prefer Dal, though I'm sure you have your reasons for not wanting Fyfe, who would be my first pick. I guess it depends on how many trades you have left which direction you take. Re-establishing your M/F link with one trade might be wise.
As to which Ruck, I would definitely choose Goldy of those 3.
Good luck :)

Also, another question :)
when will leunsburger or west be back if they are going to be at all?
Thinking about going Ablett>Fyfe/Dal, and Sandi>Gray if stefin will play every game from now?

There is some chance Leuey will be back next round, given Brisbane play in the 2nd half of the split round. I guess you could risk running with it, though I'd expect Martin to be scoring 80's. You then look at it like you have traded Martin to Gray, and if Martin needs replacing, then you look at it like you are replacing Sandi!
I have real doubts about Martin playing out the season, and even if he does, I have even bigger doubts about his scoring being at the level that will make you R2 happy.
Brisbanes remaining draw
Rnd 18 part 1 - bye
Rnd 18 part 2 - GC at Gabba
Rnd 19 Melbourne at MCG
Rnd 20 Adelaide at Gabba
Rnd 21 Collingwood at MCG
Rnd 22 Fremantle at Gabba
Rnd 23 Geelong at Shell

Crouch B
I know he's down the bottom of the table, and only played 4 games this season, but he might fit a specific purpose for some players. Getting Crouch gives you nearly $220,000 in change from Ablett. If you are struggling to fill your team, and still have 2 or 3 Rookies or underperforming Midpricers filling positions in your team, Crouch is a live option. He has scored 98 and 122 since he came back from a LTI. Last season he "only" averaged 87 in his debut season. His last 6 games last season had 4 100+ scores and averaged 99.3. He's not for the high-flyers, but those struggling a little, and also looking for a POD, could do worse than go to Crouch, and find another upgrade with the loose change. I would add another rider, I would only do it if you also have Pendlebury or 2 other relatively safe Captain picks in your team already.
I wonder if anyone was desperate enough to take my Ablett replacement "Roughie".

40 possessions and 107 points doesn't look too bad! ;)

Looking to make one last grab for cash before run to finals . Which of these 2 options do you prefer>

1. Downgrade Derickx to B.Brown netting me around the 150K Mark. (not sure on the job security of either going into future.)

2. Downgrade P.Ambrose to Honeychurch. Makes around 170K. (pretty sure Ambrose will be in all year not so sure on Honeychurch but do have Shenton in the mids to swap if needed.

What do you reckon decision doing my head in..

Honey gives u dpp mid link and brown a ruck link so if u have Martin a better link would be brown considering u have shenton in the mids ATM

North Melb.
I need your opinion on something Rowsus.
I have 6 trades at the beginning of the round, one of them will be used on Ablett.
I have poor bench coverage in defence, midfield and ruck with Cutler and Georgiou in defence; O'Brien and Acres in midfield and Thurlow and King in ruck.
Forward coverage is okay with Ambrose and Cameron.

This week, I see myself as having two options:

1) This week trade Ablett to Dal Santo/Barlow/Jack/Johnson (would love to hear your opinion on which one) and Wingard to Parker/Gray.
Then next week I will most likely trade Birchall or Enright to Mitchell.
This will leave my starting 22 looking as good as they could probably be, however, my bench coverage will be poor, I will only have 3 trades (If I trade in Mitchell) and I will be praying for no injuries.

2) This week trade Ablett to Jack/Johnson. Then next week trade Cutler to Mitchell.
This will allow for loophole opportunities in defence using Georgiou. Leaves me with good defensive coverage and 4 trades. However, Wingard will still be a starter on my ground, and I'm not so confident his form will improve.

Would love to hear your opinion on this one Rowsus

EDIT: Just had a look at another option which is an add-on to Option 2) that gives me midfield coverage as well as defensive coverage.
This week trade Ablett to Dal Santo/Barlow/Jack/Johnson and Cutler to Hunt (D/M). Then next week trade Acres to Mitchell. Allowing me to loophole in my defense using Georgiou and also allows my D7 to cover my midfield through DPP.
However, I am left with only 3 trades, and like the last option, am stuck with Wingard.

I think 'The Crouching One' from the Jock Reynolds podcast may have, ranked top 100-200 and talked about getting in a smoky this week (<0.5%)

Sorry for the late reply, it's just before 8am here.
I would have said keep Derickx and chop Ambrose, I don't think Brown's JS is as good as some people might think.
Which ever way it works out, I hope you jumped the right way!
Good luck :)

I think you really need to concentrate on building back up, than side trading disappointing players. Side trading players won't help you if 2 or 3 go missing one week. If you build back up, you can always loophole your disappointing players. I would run with your edited option. Barlow or SJ would have been my suggestion, but given Melb v Geel is nearly over, I am left with saying Barlow.
Good luck :)
