Haven't given any consideration to byes at this stage but hopefully rucks can be set and forget with Bellchambers for cover. Like everybody else can't wait for pre-season to kick off as have lots (perhaps too many) of guys coming back from injury. Don't expect them all to be in final side but if fit and in best 22 come rnd 1 then plenty of value on offer.

Have 37,100 left over. Defence is going to be hard to pick this year. Hope a lot of rookies step it up and get a go round 1.

Guess for me that is one of the key questions -- load it with 5-6 final mid's, or less --- needing to upgrade late --- and use cheaper options (Rich, Van Berlo) who should score well and make 200k in the meantime; before then needing to use a trade (o***etting cash generation).

My First crack with the Gold Selector

Backs Hurn, Fisher, Mayes(m), Seedsman, Ibbotson, Waters Bench Fuller, Goddard(f)

No real locks in def half prob only kade simpson. you could include Hibberd but injury prone last year was his best games to date so far i think.

Mids Ablett, Pendles, J Selwood, Bennell(f), S Selwood, Van Berlo, Freeman, Laverde(f) Bench Boekhurst, Vandenberg, Menadue

Go with the standard here Ablett, Pendles always reliable. J Selwood always seems to fire early for some reason. Couldnt fit Bennell in fwds but had to have him. S Selwood is to cheap to pass up as well as Van Berlo Rookies all seem to be well hyped up but time will tell

Rucks Nic Nat, Luenberger Bench Cox(f)

Surely these two can stay fit for the year. Cant they?? hoping set and forget. cox is a must for dpp purposes

Only 2 round 11 bye players in this which is a little off putting. Can downgrade ibbotson to whitecross to free some cash up or downgrade a super premium in the mids to do the same (which i dont really want to do)
Yes theres no fyfe. Hoping Kennedy can match fyfe till i trade him in.

Dare say it i may even downgrade gaz to fyfe if he'snot cherry ripe round 1.

I think bellchambers can av 90 which ill be happy with as an f5.

Risks in my opinion: Swan, Smith, Ibbotson, Higgins (not 100%, need to see what his role will be)
Can go smith/swan to goddard if i was to downgrade Ward to say Watson.

Crystal ball would be great to see how Ward and D.Smith will go next year and what impact Griffen will have on there output
