$8,400 left. Looks great for now, obviously have to wait to finalize a genuine rookie structure come round 1! Loving early access though. Merry Christmas everyone :)

Love seeing all those pretty colours that is a supercoach screen! Your ruck loophole won't work. If Kreuz or Belly go down you'll have 3 non playing rucks. Cox needs to be R3 and you need a ruck in your forward line. I'm surprised Lycett hasn't had more love. Also Cox is the cheapest dual position R/F but Read from Geelong or O'Brien from Adelaide will give you a few more loopholing options.

Robbie Gray averaged 9 points less against his first 5 opponents than his average so I expect a big early price drop for him. Freeman appears to be a lock. I'm not sure if Ross likes Morabito yet. I think with Grimley you are trying to have a cheapish R/F link and someone who might play but you probably won't achieve either. Wright probably has more chance of playing for Gold Coast than Grimley or Hannath, otherwise I would just bite the bullet and get one of the cheaper R/F's.

Read is a good pick for early loopholing. Franklin, Goddard, Deledio, Dusty are unlikely to drop in price in the forward line. You don't have to worry about not having a Rnd 13 premium because there will be plenty of upgrading opportunies before then. Harvey is another R13 upgrade target. I just had a quick look at the profile page without luck but I know PC changed his name so it can be done.

DEF: H.Shaw, Hibberd, Newnes*, SD Thompson, Waters, WhiteX (Colquhoun*, Scharenberg)
MID: Pendlebury, J.Selwood, Heppell, Cotchin, Van Berlo, O'Rourke, Vandenberg, Heeney (Freeman, Steele*, Maynard*)
RUC: NicNat, Leuenberger (McLaren*)
FWD: Deledio*, Bennell*, Swan*, Bontempelli*, Bellchambers*, Reid, Hogan, Membrey

Cash: $162k

Rookies, well most just there for sake of it, we wont know that many details at the moment, not going to put key position dudes that need 3-4 years to develop in there.

13-3-17 structure. Happy with that, with plenty of cash to move things around; definitely December winners.

Edit: Actually just realised I'd probably want to fit Steven somewhere. Maybe upgrade Heppell to Fyfe and downgrade Cotchin to Steven.

I am up in the air at who to pick in a 4-premo midfielders + 1 unique midfielder. At the moment I have Pendles, Fyfe, jelwood, Ward and J Steven.

I like the look of JPK as he is under priced and I think he will have a burning after grand final. Sloane, Danger and Beams are also in the mix.

I want a premo saints midfielder with their early run - Steven, Armitage, Montagna

Thoughts?

Armitage has the lowest time on ground (most room for improvement) and highest points per time on ground out of those 3.

Not criticisms but queries more than anything else :)

First go with the SC Gold selector.

DEF: Hibberd, Birchall, Houli, Waters, Moore, Durdin (Smith, Fuller).
MID: Pendlebury, Kennedy, Ward, Cotchin, S.Selwood, Van Berlo, Brayshaw, Heeney (Boekhorst, Vandenberg, Laverde).

Houli was the one that immediately jumped out at me mate. Was there antyreason in particular he got on the short list?

Also you appear to have invested in players that are unlikely to finish in the top 2-6-8 of their position. Scooter and TBC for eg. What's your ultimate plan with them? Turn them into cover or use them as stepping stones?

Not a massive fan of a Kreuzer as a pick tbh. From what I've read they're turning him into a fwd so I think it's unlikely he'll score well enough to justify an R2 start. That an odd really quiet game will have you needing to find funds to side/upgrade him.

Hi Freo,
Give me your thoughts pls

Unique ish type team FT. similar to the above, you've got a few blokes that are unlikely to finish at the top go their positions and not a fan of Kreuzer (but can certainly understand why he's been picked).

Hodge, I feel like he'll continue to get managed somewhat with a view to finals so expect the odd subbing and/or resting.

Parker is an interesting pick

What do the asterisk denote DJ? :D

Man, Bont is a ballsy pick. Everything going for and against picking him haha but I'm a big fan of him and you know he'll get every opportunity at the doggys (not like Titch last year). What kind of jump are you hoping to see out him next year out if curiosity?

I don't mind Hep as a uniquish pick but I'm worried he's a little prone to the tag which I expect him to cop (and struggle with) next year. I think I'd prefer the Fyfe/Steven combo too.

* = DPP! :D

Bonts to have more midfield time. There's plenty there for the taking with Griffen now gone, Boyd in his last season. He's young and a future gun so why not. Others will focus on Titch more so there's a POD. Wallis, Hrovat, Smith would be the only threats, but they're on the monitor list too.

Think SDT is the riskier pick, but he's very undervalued if he goes back to 2012-2013 scoring and you're not going to get much out of defenders next season anyway.

Trying to think now of a way to sneak 5 prems in mids. Not sure if we will need two or three of the main 5 guys (Ablett, Rocky, Fyfe, Selwood, Pendles). Last season it made sense to start with both Pendles and Ablett, not sure this time around.

Houli is mostly there because of the lack of options in defense, i expect him to get back to an average of 85+ which i'm hoping will be enough for D6. His durability put him just a head of players like Hurn, Rance, Walker and co. Bellchambers is currently there because i think he's the best option for early cover for the injury prone value rucks (Nic Nat and Leuey). I also think he should be able to get his average back up past 80, which is a good stepping stone while getting some decent points. Scooter is just very good value i think, priced at 80 and should really average 100+ like in 2012 and 2013. My ultimate plan would be to trade Bell and Scooter to performing premiums between rounds 7-10

Needless to say, it's still December. Plenty of things will change once we get to see some pre-season action. If Bell doesn't look the goods i will change one of my rucks. If Scooter doesn't look the goods, i'll downgrade him and upgrade Cotchin or something.

I'm already working on a second team while watching the cricket, it will be more GnR with less eye on value.

Overall nice team, I count 13 keepers which is a good starting point. I wouldn't normally comment on rookies this time of year but I presume Moore in your backline is Darcy from the Pies. Just buyer beware on him; he is going to be a seriously good player, and he is impressing down at the Pies, but he is a 199cm teenager and the Pies won't rush him. I would be surprised if he played more next year than Boyd played for GWS this year, and there is talk he will start down back, where based on reports, I believe he was more of a shut down defender in the TAC Cup.
