The same thing happened last season with an injury prone but under priced Sandilands. People decided to use Charlie Dixon as cover. What happened with Dixon? Well he got injured early missed 4 games and only played 14 games for the season. Terrible idea covering an injury prone player with another injury prone player. Too much risk and not enough reward in my opinion.
Difference is bellchambers himself can justify a forward position being 150-175k underpriced while Dixon was never gonna make any cash. Bellchambers value is enough for players to pick him and his duel position status is simply a bonus.

Def: K.Simpson, M.Hibberd, S.Hurn, B.Waters, B.Whitecross, M.**** (D.McKenzie , D.Viojo-Rainbow)

Mid: G.Ablett, S.Pendlebury, N.Fyfe, J.Selwood, P.Dangerfield, I.Heeney, B.Boekhorst, A.Vandenberg (J.Laverde , N.Freeman , K.Lambert )

Ruc: T.Goldstein, N.Naitanui (T.Nankervis )

Fwd: B.Deledio, D.Martin, D.Swan, T.Mitchell, M.Clark, P.Karnezis (C.Daniel, J.Steele )

Still very much undecided about R/F. So without any reliance on such, see above. Both rucks out in R 13. is not great, but that is a long way away.

Keen about 5 premium mids, set and forget rucks (as if!).

Same rucks as myself so I like, steering well clear of Bell/Kreuz/Berger. No Hogan what are your thoughts?

No Hogan as he is a raw key position forward. So is Clark for that matter, but not raw, is a seasoned player in a good side.

I still lament the death of the KPF in Supercoach however, one or two may av. 100 or so and prove to be a bit different. Looking at you Tex Walker, like him.

^^ Hey FT - 3 KPF's in you Fwd line will probably end in tears. Also, I think Def looks a bit thin and I'm not sure about Judd - he will probably have a few good scores, but I think his best might be behind him.

I will say, very few will have any of Walker, Tippett, Cloke, Petrie, Reiwoldt, Westoff et el in their teams.

These players are almost an untapped resource and offer food for thought.

Everyone who posts here comes up with a new plan or concept for their team, part of the fun! Never done until the last inch before kick off.

Tom J Lynch.

Why do I think that? Because I have, probably 3ish times now, thought to myself that it'd be a fantastic idea.

I won't be doing it though, not with the talented FWD/MIDs we have on offer this year.

It doesn't matter how good he trains, with his age and injury history he will rested often. He will probably play between 15-18 games at best.

Riewoldt Cloke Walker are all good picks this year. However, the guarantee 100-105 average from Goddard, Bartel, Martin etc are too good to ignore.

With all the KPF talk I think the only premium (or none rookie) Key Position Forward I would go anywhere near is Franklin. The rest are ticking time bombs for a SC disaster in my opinion.

I think there are a few cheap KPP worth looking at. I am a seller of DMartin at this starting price.

I'm not sure about him yet. Out of Deledio / Goddard / Martin / Swan, Martin has been the one who gets the chop when I'm trying to upgrade another line. I think it's because when you compare years passed, and averages, Martin just weighs up as 4th out of 4 runners. Poor guy. He'd be a hands down lock any other year.

Similiar boat, one of Goddard, Lids and Martin won't fit.

I was looking at this the other day. These are averages for the last 2 years against their opponents before their bye.

Goddard 104.5
Buddy 96.8
Deledio 97.7
Dusty 99.0
Bartel 103.9

Bartel is from the same draft as Gary Ablett and still gets given 94% time on ground. He could be a nice POD, especially if Stevie J isn't right to go.

Another thought I had is if you were undecided between buddy and a dual position player it would be easier to trade in the dual position player during the year. To bring in Buddy you have to trade out 1 of 3 or 4 rookies in the forward line. To bring in the dual position player you can trade out a forward or a mid rookie increasing your choice up to 9 or 10 rookies and then swap them to the forward line when the timing is better. I did this last year with Bartel because my defensive rookies still had lots of money to make even though he was at a good price to bring in.
