Seems to be a lot of one-eyed Aussie supporters here who have an inflated opinion of the team and are discounting the rest

I'd put Aussies/SAF/NZ at 25% each, India 15%, SL 5%, Miracle Effort from another team 5%

Aussies - Yet to get firing, home ground advantage helps but potential QF against SAF looms if they drop another match
SAF - Firing on almost all cylinders... will only lose if they have a mental breakdown (again)
NZ - Benefit of playing at home up until the Final (if they make it). Batsman need to step it up
IND - Much-maligned bowlers have stepped it up... and people forget they are reigning World Cup champs and ICC Champions Trophy champs. On their day... Kohli+Dohni+Sharma+Raina are unstoppable
SL - Don't have the bowlers... overly reliant on the top 4 batsman

Pakistan have quietly found some form...
One eyed to rate India 15% too...lol

I now wonder whether Mitch Marsh gets replaced by Bailey or Watson next game. Will be interesting.
Was a bit weird that Clarke, who needs a good hit did not bat at number 3 or at all and essentially played the game as 4th bowler. I did not see him bowl but suspect it was his tidy left armers. Kind of glad Faulkner did not have to do much. A little workload was ideal for first game back.
Smith needed a good hit so least he got that which was needed after two failures previously.
Warner getting a long bat was good for setting him up for rest of the tournament.
Maxwell too but he only missed out last innings and been hitting it well for about a month now.

Thank god we did not have another game washed out. That would have been a disaster.

1. Warner
2. Finch
3. Smith
4. Clarke (C)
5. Maxwell
6. M. Marsh
7. Haddin (WK)
8. Faulkner
9. Johnson
10. Starc
11. Hazlewood / Cummins

This is the side I would have liked to see in the first game, if everyone was fit, and the side I would like to see us take through the tournament now. If there was to be a change to this side I have listed then it would be Bailey in for Mitch Marsh, but definitley not Watson as we have now seen we have plenty of bowling options.

I would have the same side except I would replace Marsh with Bailey.

I think Australia's biggest weaknesses is the vulnerability to a batting collapse. Bailey I believe better protects against that than Marsh, and with Maxwell, Faulkner and Haddin we still have plenty of hitting power down the order to finish innings off. I think we can cover the fifth bowler between Maxwell, Smith and Clarke.

After Smith and Warner's monster partnership, there was no point in Clarke coming out as he is no where near as big a hitter as Maxwell, Faulkner, Marsh or Haddin, so sensible captaincy IMO.

Also thank god Watson finally got the boot.

Agreed and he said as much himself at match presentation but was weird spot to put yourself in given the rest of tournament.

Would not surprise me if Bailey plays Sunday at expense of Marsh.
Marsh bowling is behind any of Maxwell, Smith and Clarke but if they still want the extra medium pace option it is not out of question they bring back Watson and bat him number 5 or 6 and leave Marsh out. His bowling has been a liability these last two matches. More likely to go with Bailey I suspect.

Is Marsh injured? If not then a ridiculous decison to bring Watson back. Marsh has one poor game and gets dropped for a player who hasn't had a good one in 2 years

Mitchell Marsh had two poor games to be honest. Not surprised. Half expected it. I am happy they are going to play Watson more as a hitter in side and obviously he is playing as a bowler this match too. Mitch Marsh bowling been poor this last two matches. In fact I wish that over he bowled in New Zealand was never bowled and Starc got used for his full ten overs.

The Big Show has been The Big Show throughout this tournament apart from the one game where everyone else struggled as well!!!

Gee it was good watching Clarke and Smith bat together. Hopefully a few more seasons of test cricket where we can watch them in big partnerships. :)

I'm guessing Brad Haddin has best strike rate this World Cup. Been hitting it well from first ball each time I seen him bat.

Cool.
Did not realize the Big Show was past him.
All the usual suspects in there.
