Update :D

SCANS on Jesse Hogan's foot have cleared the Melbourne forward of injury but he remains in doubt for this Saturday's NAB Challenge game against the Western Bulldogs in Ballarat.

The 20-year-old sent a scare through the Demons' camp when an opponent stood on his foot late in Thursday night's NAB Challenge game against Fremantle.
CARLTON will field a more experienced line-up for Sunday's NAB Challenge match against Collingwood, but skipper Marc Murphy will be one of the familiar faces still missing, vice-captain Bryce Gibbs says.

Murphy strained a calf during match simulation on February 20, which ruled him out of the Blues' opening 31-point pre-season loss to West Coast in Mandurah seven days later.
GOLD Coast forward Tom Lynch will miss the Suns' round one clash with Melbourne after accepting a one-game suspension from the Match Review Panel.

Longer has accepted a fine and Waite has been cleared of striking
GREATER Western Sydney midfielder Jacob Townsend will be sidelined for a month with a foot injury.
ADELAIDE veteran Scott Thompson is "touch and go" for round one after suffering a minor hamstring injury at training.

Brisbane Lions ruckman Stefan Martin has hobbled from the training track on Thursday after a knock to his right knee.

Martin was taking part in a match simulation session when he was assisted from the Coorparoo ground.

He immediately iced the knee.

The Lions believe it to be a contact injury and nothing serious.

LIONS Football Manager Dean Warren says the Club is monitoring an injury concern to ruckman Stefan Martin, who left the training track early this morning in Coorparoo after sustaining a knock to his knee.

The Bupa Support Team are confident that the knee is structurally fine, and will wait to see how Martin pulls up tomorrow before determining if scans are required.

"Stef sustained a contact injury during a match simulation drill this morning.

"He was assessed by our medical team and they are confident it is just a collision injury however he will be monitored over the next 24 hours."

Have the lions contracted out their medical services?

INJURY BLOW: Hawk Grant Birchall to miss 4-6 weeks after hurting his knee at training
Birchall injured himself about 1 month ago on 11 Feb. Does anyone know how his recovery is going? Is he likely to be available for Rnd 1?

Was always targeting last NAB game.
I heard something on SEN (maybe even from Brichall himself can't recall) yesterday that indicated he was targeting an intra club game which I guess is after NAB 3

Thanks Geelong for implementing a non-standard estimated return date...short/medium/long term, please - wth does that mean in terms of weeks?!

Ahem. Sorry, it is Friday afternoon...

Ablett still listed as returning in 1-2 weeks. Who is brave enough to keep him in their team if he doesn't have a pre-season? Who is brave enough not to keep him in their team even if he doesn't have a pre-season?
