It's nice to know I'll be spending my entire Good Friday thinking about McIntosh. I have been brought up as such a good Christian hey!!
As long as no meat and pop in Church for an hour or so and donate to the street can rattlers then you've done your part; LOL.

I'm 2/3 so far but I have the rest of the day to complete 3/3 lol

I agree with Rowsus that you don't change your structure just for 50-60pts.

My plan was always to have a Floating Donut so I will get the zero player.

D - Floating Donut*, McIntosh (EMG)
M - Saad*

Floating Donut should only be picked if it was part of your original structure.
That makes me feel better hearing that from you Jay :)
I also planned to have a FD (As I already have all other DEF rookies playing).

By interest who is you FD, is it a Hamling or Goddard??

I've also gone with this structure, love the idea of the floating donut. Just our of interest Jay who have you picked as your floating donut?

EDIT: goodies beat me to it

H.Goddard v Hamling for getting Macintosh's score ?

120's too much to miss : (
I disagree with the premise.
You may be locking in a future correction trade, just to gain maybe 50 or 60 points. Your trades are worth more than that.
If I offered you 60 points to change your structure somewhere else in your team, you shouldn't do it, so you shouldn't do it here.
I agree with Rowsus on this (and I know I am not in the position as I had McIntosh on the field...) - I was in exactly the same position with Langdon at round 1 last year. Instead of getting McDonald, I took Fuller as a donut to get Langdon's first round 100, basically it was a pain the a of my season... Fuller sat on my back bench and offered nothing other than an occasional C choice and I missed all of McDonald's income.

This year it would be an even worse decision to go that way imo, as the back rookies are very low in number and have particularly dodgy js... Think of it this way - to get one 100 score, you are using a trade, giving up possible rookie coin and creating a hole in your team. That 100 score can be lost in round 16 by one prem being a late out due to an injury which you don't have the trades to deal with...
Hambling is not a floating donut, he is just a donut as no DPP attributes
Goddard can only be a floating donut if you have a DPP F/D on the other end.

I have Adam Saad (M/D) in MID and thus my floating donut will be D/M in DEF to take McIntosh score and I will floating this donut every week.

Neither as they don't float!!! Goddard needs a friend in D/F to float otherwise simply a donut...

YOU MISSING THE FLOATING PART OF THE DONUT.

Yeah I see, I am going to have a look at St Kilda's draw to see when they play majority of their games for the first half of the year. Goddard's DPP might be handy to swing forward once I start upgrading in the DEF to be able to then loophole the FWDs.

Just to clarify:

Agree Rowsus - would never pick a zero player to get McIntosh score

However, if you have a Floating Donut paired with someone then it's acceptable as it would have been part of your plans.

Therefore, my view (and only my view is) that FD is either Adamson(wce), McKenzie (stk), Maynard (col) etc who are DEF/MID and more importantly, you must have planned to have another player on the opposite end such as Adam Saad

Even if Adam Saad wears the Red Vest he will stay in my team in the mid on the bench with expectation next week.

Adam Saad has always been in my plans with FD since coach said Miller and Saad will debut.

Not going to argue with your Jay - if it is in your plans for the season, then why not donut up! My experience last year wasn't about that, it was about getting a rookie 100 in the first week and it impacted me for the rest of the season :)

Hahaha I am donuting up with Adamson (still deciding which FD)

Adamson* - McIntosh (EMG)
Saad*

then Adamson (for example) and Saad will floating around with MID/DEF to safeguard D6 like Bad Boys (Will Smith & Martin Lawrence) for the rest of the year.....

Heeny, Miller, Vandenburg, E-y if named.
Wont die wondering here. Miller kicks off first, if he's not sub he's taking the field. Will do the same when every game shows there final teams and subs.
If lamb is starting on field i might be temped to play him over clark tbh. No easy feat comming up against the hawks backline after not playing the real deal for so long.

Running with a floating donut as well but was running one regardless of what McIntosh scored. He won't float for the time being cos i've gone light down back and heavy in the mids but expect to utilise DPP when trading.

409/5 for me
Maric, Cripps, Martin, McIntosh, Simpson

One of my few PODs in Maric underwhelmed so hoping there's not too much damage done by NicNat/Berger.

I'm surprised how many people had E on Mckintosh, best performed DEF rookie coming into round one.

I've never been one to go for the deliberate donuts, the closest I've gone this year is my ruck bench. I just tried trading in Maynard to link with Saad to create a floating rookie, but it just felt wrong, even though it meant I'd get McIntosh's score.

I like having a full side for round 1. I know rookies will be in and out, and players get injured, so it won't remain that way through the year, but at least at the start I have a 100% start rate (excluding the ruck bench).

Deledio (18), Cotchin (17) and Dusty (13). Usually Tigers struggle whenever these 3 get held to less than 20 touches. Lucky that McIntosh, Hunt, Miles and Ellis stood up last night. Fingers crossed Tigers can build on this game.

For me, it's about any small edge you can get early. So if the masses are on him which i suspect they were and most would be starting him, if he spuds it up or goes down, gets subbed there's a 20-50 pt gain. In hindsight thought, it would've been better to start Cripps and Martin (sic) on the pine as well lol.

Yeah the arguments against a floating donut are pretty clear but i like having a second look at backline rookie scores (i've got 5 of them :p) and feel pretty comfortable with my rookie choices elsewhere that cash generation won't be a problem. As long as you've got a Plan B with where you've backed your rookies in, i think that's the main thing. If Saad/Oxley are both named sub then i'll need to change my structure whcih i've planned for.

Oh boy feeling a bit gutted so have come to the box to unburden myself :)

On the way to match got my son to check on his fancy dancey mobile that Lambert wasn't slotted in to the side. Nah all good then. Watching match having fun and thinking yep glad I put young Hunt into my SC side, been sitting there for a while now.

Get home pull up my side and instead of Hunt and joy, I have Gary bloomin Rohan staring me in the face (insert crying smiley). I cannot believe how this happened. I reckon the Chinese have hacked my computer.

I had quickly tinkered with Maric (but chose to leave him out) and my side just before leaving home and must have done it then  :(...

Gary R. my boy time to step up big time; I almost feel I can't take the little bugger out of my side now as this could be divine intervention and events are no longer under my control.

mmm, for some reason confessing my sin hasn't really helped, and this is just the beginning, haha oh well bring it on. Cheers.

Awkward LOL.

I'll be honest that has happened to me as well but on my laptop but I thought I just strolled down a bit more. I assume Taylor Hunt and Rohan are priced similarly? I had some randoms in my team but could be the mouse playing funny buggers.

Bellchambers is really tempting me for R2. Can anyone give me some insight on him as a player and what sidelined him previously. Is he fully fit and firing now?

He has dodgy ankles I'm pretty sure, don't quote me on it though. Main reason he's never been under consideration for me, not the best quality in a ruckman. 1 awkward landing away from another bout on the sidelines.
