Hey Rowsus, what do you think of Adams>Bont?
I do consider Adams to be a solid candidate for F5 or F6 at an average of 95 is for the season, but considering Bont's form, it could very possibly be that by paying an extra 50k I am getting myself a F1 or F2
And what are your thoughts on Alex Rance

Haha, I 2nd these.
I have Adams too but am looking at Bont (obviously) and a possible Hibberd-Rance...Hibberd as a non-contested player just doesn't look scoring-favourable.

There have been 18 x 3,300 = 59,400 points so far this season, and 12,320 disposals. In very simplistic terms, that means every disposal is worth about 4.8 SC points. Adams has 54 disposal so far, for 173 SC points (3.2 SC/Dis). 54 x 4.8 = 259, so it is reasonable to say he has been fairly harshly graded so far. He has 29 CP's in his 54 disposals, which is well over 50% (elite), his DE is down at 56% (poor, even for someone with a high CP/Dis), and he has 13 clangers (really high!). I guess the question you ask is, which of these figures continue, and which change? I can see him maintaining a 25-27/game Dis rate. I think his CP/Dis may go backwards to around, or just under 50%, but I can see his DE improving to mid 60's, and his clanger Count dropping from the nearly 25% it is now. In short, unless he is given too many run with roles with Macaffer out, you could see him without much trouble lifting his output to say 25 x 3.8/dis = 95/game. To spend $50k and a trade to axe him to the Bont, I'd want to have an expectation that the Bont will be a 105+ player from here to the end of the season!
That's a bit higher than my expectation for him, but it may be within your expectations. Also, you may expect Adams to be more 85-88 than 95, if that is the case, you only need an expectation on the Bont to be say 100/game from here.
As to Rance, he has always shown the ability to score like this from time to time, and has been very consistently just inside, or just outside the top 8-10 Defs. Don't get seduced by 112 and 156 though. They were against Forward lines that had no strong Key Forward targets for him to mind. He's not going to be able to run off the likes of inexperienced players like Tom Boyd each week, and continue to score at 5.8 SC/Dis. He's a solid high 80's average type of guy, and I can't see him doing any better than low 90's at the very best, from here to the end of the season. A sideways trade to him would really seem like a huge waste of a trade.
